A Little Burlap for You.
*** THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*** Thank you to all who participated. Winners announced here.
Here’s the thing. We have some AHH-MAZING burlap colors that will be up on OFS soon. Really. You’re going to love them when you see them. So to get your burlap creativity fibers flowing, we’re giving away a few yards of this light Shalimar and weightier Sultana burlap that we had lying around. No, this offering doesn’t quite compare with what’s to come, but we know you will have no shortage of ideas on ways to use this little stash of four 1/2 yard pieces. Tell us below in the comments what you’d make with any or all of the burlap shown here. We’ll pick the one we like best and send the stack your way.
We’re picking a winner on Wednesday, so check back, guys and click around some of our other posts while you’re here!

I am hosting 250 ladies at a summer fundraiser event. Our message in Joy. Our musical entertainment has a clean and organic vibe. So, our decor will be very clean, urban and industrial with lots of metal, tin and galvanized centerpieces and art. Black tablecloths with 18″ bleached burlap strips runners will be the base of our decor.
We will be giving each lady Joy Bricks that have been re-purposed from a local mill. It would be wonderful to tie an urban, metal tag onto a 2″ strip of burlap that wraps the beautiful clay red color. And tied roughly in a more masculine rough bow. Ladies will be bringing school items and book bags for donation to children and teens in a very difficult urban neighborhood in our local town. A win would be a good starting point to help us benefit hundreds of children living in abandoned homes in the United States of America.
Oh, be still my heart….am so anticipating a granddaughter someday….would cover wooden valances with the pink burlap with pink and off white burlap mini pompoms attached to the bottom of valance…….was going to do linen, but pink burlap???? SO much more texture…..THANKS for motivating me…. ;-D
for some reason this is still awaiting moderation…….so I will do another…hope I didn’t miss the great opportunity ;-(
Love the Colorado! I would make some cute pillows with stencilled designs.
These would make adorable Easter baskets for my granddaughters.
I LOVE burlap and these colors are sweet! Let’s see, there are so many possibilities with this stack. The colors are perfect for spring. I would use some to make a border for a spring patterned table runner. I would also use some to make pillows covers. The pink burlap could be used to make a pretty lamp shade for my baby girl’s nursery, along with some matching throw pillows.
I would make beautiful little memory keepsake sacks for my three children’s memory boxes. Embellished with small wooden buttons. The two elements would look lovely together. The colors and textures are just right. And the burlap would last a long time. I could make a few sizes for them each.
Thank you!
i would cover a barrel lamp fixture for over the dinning table! love it!
I would mix the burlap with some vintage repurposed fabrics that I’ve got on hand to make stockings for Christmas with the natural color. I would paint a design on the brighter colors to make floor pillows that could also be used for picnics with my little ladies this spring. Love burlap, so many fantastic project ideas. I have a couple new bag designs I could try too!
I’m looking for something special to make table runners for my daughter’s wedding
These colors may be just what I’m looking for!
Be still my heart…..been waiting to do a room for a new granddaughter…..would use the pink burlap to cover wooden valances and hand white burlap pom-poms from the bottom……can’t wait to order……thanks for the inspiration and opportunity to get “my hands on” some of your sweet fabric…. <3
