DIY Baby Bib Tutorial

What’s your go-to baby gift? Do you pick straight from the shower registry or go rogue? I tend to pick something substantial from the registry and then add a few more little things such as a board book and cozy cotton feety pajamas (because my boys lived in those for the first six months.) And thinking back on what else I enjoyed getting as gifts, I keep coming back to things that were practical and/or personal. So today I wanted to share a baby bib tutorial, by Dana of the sewing blog Made, that checks both boxes. See video below!

With a bit of quilted fabric (or thrifted placemats), contrasting colorful jersey knit fabric for the neckline and cute cotton print for the bias tape border, you’ve got yourself a an easy and special handmade baby gift.

Here are a few fun fabric combinations you could use for your bib.
