DIY Wedding Veils

Anything goes these days when it comes to weddings. From creating your own aisle runner because you’re not actually walking down the aisle of a church, to using virtually any location, to tying the knot with or without a traditional veil. I wore a basic veil in my own wedding back in 2005, but I love the look of the more stylized and dramatic ones like these from the weddings featured on Style Me Pretty.

Considering a birdcage veil for your wedding? Try out the look by making one with just a few basic materials:

  • Veiling Material (comes in many colors and styles!)
  • Cotton Fabric (muslin’s a good basic option)
  • Cardboard
  • Ribbon
  • Metal Comb
  • Alligator Clip
  • Scissors
  • Needle & Thread
