My apologies…I keep referring to Pantone’s color of the year as Tangy Tangerine when it is, in fact, Tangerine Tango. Whatever it is called, it is a bright and cheerful color that is, as Leatrice Eiseman (executive director of Pantone Color Institute) states, “Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive.” It was chosen to help provide the energy we continue to need in this country to overcome our economic and political woes. We will talk a great deal about this color as the year moves forward and I promise to refer to it correctly as Tangerine Tango. How do you feel about this color and how will you use it in your own decorating projects?

Orange is one of my favorites. I’m glad to see it’s coming back–again! I use it as an accent color, but you can tone it down a little (a little brown or black undertone) and use it as a paint color in an entry, powder room, or office.
Kim….I love orange as an accent but also admire those who are “brave” enough to use it on an entire wall or sofa. Will be fun to see how it is used this year. Thanks for visiting the blog…I enjoy yours as well.
