Organza fabrics, whether silk, rayon, or polyester, are characteristically thin, stiff, and have a somewhat transparent fabric surface. They are produced in a number of different weights, with sheer organza fabric being distinctly crisp and heavy organza cloth being actually quite stiff.
In addition to its popularity in traditional and theme weddings, organza material is sometimes used as a craft fabric and a home décor fabric, its light, non-draping finish lending itself nicely to specialized home decor projects and crafts, such as those of doll artists, that benefit from organza’s distinct hand and varied colors.
The organza fabric we sell here is a lighter weight polyester organza. Discount pricing makes it an attractive choice for large-scale home decorating, events, theatrical decoration and, of course, weddings.
