Eyelet fabric is a unique embroidered cotton material that never goes out of style. There are many types of eyelet available, but all have in common an embroidered pattern which includes small holes edged in buttonhole stitch. The holes are part of a pattern of stitches that may include flowers, geometric shapes and abstract elements. Eyelet fabrics were traditionally sold in white or ivory, but today eyelet can be found in a wide variety of colors, from pastels to bright primary colors to dark colors like brown and black. Colored eyelet fabrics offer a new twist on a well-known classic.
