This 1" high density foam (1x24x54) will not provide a lot of cushion so is most appropriate for use as padding for tie on chair cushions, small headboards and upholstered footstools. The 1" thickness allows enough leg room under a table when used as chair cushions. This thickness can also be used as stuffing for throw pillows. As a topper" for larger pieces of foam, the one inch thickness will provide additional support and the density will allow your furniture to retain its shape. A unique idea, padding a fabric covered photo mat or interior of a shadow box requires a relatively thin foam and the one inch thickness is perfect.
