1,000 Denier Cordura & Textured Nylon

Durable 1000 Denier Cordura&Textured Nylon are excellent for backpacks and other gear which must be strong and tear resistant. They are perfect for raingear! Cordura is an extremely heavy weight nylon coated with urethane which is waterproof and abrasion resistant.

Cordura’s weight is described in deniers. Denier refers to the weight of the yarns or fibers used to weave a fabric. One denier equals 1 gram per 9000 meters.

Tough Cordura also comes in Woodland Green Camouflage and Digital Camouflage. If you need a strong material suitable for outdoor gear, try 1000 Denier Cordura. We recommend a size 18 sewing machine needle for use with this weight of Cordura. A heavy duty home sewing machine or an industrial sewing machine should be used when working with Cordura.
