Fabrics which accept dye well: Silk, wool, linen, 100% cotton, ramie, rayon, acetate, nylon. Fabrics that contain 60% cotton or other dyeable fibers will tint nicely, but will not become a full deep color.

Fabrics which cannot be dyed: Fabrics that must be washed in cold water or dry-cleaned; water repellent and other special finish fabrics; heavily stained or bleach damaged fabrics; 100% polyester or blends of 50% or more polyester; 100% metallic, acrylic, or fiberglass fabrics; rubber-backed fabrics.
