Why did you choose this?
is this product good for custom mouse pad for students to create?
BEST ANSWER: No it wouldn't work for that. Foam is really squishy & mouse pad wouldn't move well on it. Try scuba maybe, but not spacer.
Can this foam fabric be spray painted? If so what product would work?
How do I glue foam ends together?
Would this work to make rub and back padding for a youth baseball shirt?
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure what rub and back padding is but if it's like a catcher's padding I would say no. It's much softer than the padding on a catcher's vest. It's very soft. If you push on pleats on a car seat this would show how soft it is. I mean the pushing just enough to create a dimple not pushing to where you're compressing foam or springs on an older vehicle.
can you cut this foam easy ? How hard is it to cut?
BEST ANSWER: This foam is very easy to cut with a knife or scissors.
Looking for very squishy padding to sew leather onto for saddle seats for horse back riding. Would this work?
BEST ANSWER: I believe it would work for saddle seats. I bought this foam to put over the top of a motorcycle seat before putting the new fabric on it. I also ride horses so I understand what you are needing to do. I would recommend it if it’s the same clothbacked foam I purchased.
Lookkng for fabric bonded to closed-cell fiam padding, to make vehicle cover in area prone to hailstorms. Is this fabric durable enough for sewing/glueing, and “outdoor wear and tear”? Has this foam been used for any similar protective purpose?

BEST ANSWER: It will not.
Could I use these as an inner sole (hidden between layers) in handmade slippers? Would it be good to cut to shape to be walked on ? Can you wash it?
BEST ANSWER: You can use this foam in between layers for an inner sole of a slipper. However, it is not washable because the foam will soak up the water and eventually deteriorate.
Does this work for auto upholstery backing?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, that is what I use it for.
Can this be used to make a koozie?
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't think so. It's not neoprene like most koozies. It doesn't have the strength needed to stand up to multiple use or have any thermal properties. It's basically thin foam with a T-shirt type material glued on the back to keep thread from pulling through the foam.
restoring an old childs metal pedal car, need foam for seat cover, will the foam backing stay glued to the metal seat?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you will need a high strength adhesive suitable for use on foam. See attached recommendations.
Does this product come in 1/2 inch, and what other colors? Want to use it to line jewellery box
BEST ANSWER: Yes, we do carry this product in a 1/2" thickness! The color, foam type, and density cannot be guaranteed as it is created based on what is available at the time of manufacture. You may receive a different color than pictured but it could easily be covered with a fabric of your choosing to suit your style.
