Soy foam uses renewable raw material alongside traditional petrochemicals. Novus Soy Foam can help cut the carbon cycle because it uses less energy to manufacture than foam produced from petrochemicals. 23% reduction in total energy demand. 61% reduction in non-renewable energy use. Natural seed oils are abundant, renewable resources. Once harvested, plants like soy grow back quickly, consuming carbon dioxide as they do so.

I use a lot of 1 inch foam for my business. I like that these rolls are discounted when you buy more and the eco friendly aspect of the soy is very attractive me. I've been using this particular foam for years. It's great.

I wanted to decrease the acoustics in our church fellowship hall. I was planning to do fabric covered foam panels along the walls. Will this help and is it fire resistant?

BEST ANSWER: It will help to some degree but may be costly. It meets California Technical Bulletin #117 Section E fire rating which is Test Method: 2" x 6" sample is exposed at a 45 degree angle to a 5/8" pencil thin flame for 1 second. Standard to Pass: Sample must not burn more than 5" in 3.5 seconds.
