Why did you choose this?
Can I use this for outdoor winter use?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this can be used for outdoor winter use!
What gauge is appropriate for outdoor winter use?
BEST ANSWER: We use the 12 gauge to enclose our large porch for the winter. It is plenty heavy enough to last more than one year. We also used it to cover the seats in our old pick up truck. It wasn't fancy but was clean and tough.
How clear is this plastic? I want it for screen porch windows and want it to be quite clear to look through. Thanks!
BEST ANSWER: I use it to cover my tablecloths and it is very clear. It will need to be washed or wiped to keep it clear to look through but should work for your purpose.
I plan to use this vinyl as a cover for a poster on the carpet floor. Do you think the vinyl sheet will be scratch resistant for people to walk on it? What thickness do you recommend? Thanks.
BEST ANSWER: If the carpet is thin no pile. It will work. It doesn't seem to scratch but I used it on a table and as a barrier for a screen door. If people are walking on it you might want one gauge thicker.
Can I use this as a shower liner or do I us another gauge?
BEST ANSWER: It can probably work but possibly a heavier gauge is better so it won't have chances of crinkling as much. Good luck !
what type of vinyl do i make my chair covers out of?
BEST ANSWER: You can use 12, 10, or 8 gauge clear vinyl to make chair covers. We recommend ordering samples to determine which thickness is right for your project.
How flexible is this? I would like to use it for straps on a bracelet, would it be suitable for that?
BEST ANSWER: Depending on how thick the straps are, this is flexible. The thicker the strap, the less flexible.
A 1" strap would cut into one's arm if it's too tight. We used it for covering linen tablecloths from spills
for an events we had. For my needs, a thinner vinyl would have been better as the 6' pieces did not flow like we wanted them to. I hope this helps
Do you have a store from where I can buy immediately?
BEST ANSWER: We only sell fabric from our website.
What gauge should I get? It needs to be flexible enough to bend into a 1-foot diameter cylinder (18 inches high), then stiff enough for the cylinder to stand up on its own. The 12-gauge I tried first turns out to be too thin.
BEST ANSWER: The 30 or 40 gauge would most likely work.
Would I be able to use this to make a dry erase board out of my bulletin board? If so, what gauge would be best?
BEST ANSWER: It will show dry erase marker markings but won't work as well as a dry erase board would. It will erase but if left on for too long may not be removed as easily.
Does this plastic become yellowish if used as window exposed to sunlight?
BEST ANSWER: It shouldn't!
Is the gauge indicator a direct equivalent of mils in thickness? 10 gauge = .010", 12 gauge = .012", 16 gauge = .016" etc. ?
I am looking for a plastic to put under my cats litter box to protect the floor as she sometimes misses. Is this one thick enough? I want it to be a little stiff and not flimsy. Hard to tell without feeling it. Thanks.
BEST ANSWER: This gauge of clear vinyl would work for that! If you're concerned about feel, we do offer samples of this product.
I need a liner in the size 72X72. Do you have anything like that?
Very nice material to work with. Wrapped my Parents gazebo in it to cut out the wind and weather for the winter. Very clear, easy to work with, very strong, and did not tear even on long runs. Would definitely recommend for cold weather projects.
