I used Warm Windows fabric when I lived in Alaska. It was great at keeping the cold out at the windows.

Comes highly recommended for making curtains to save energy and therefore money. Climate change is real and we all need to do whatever we can to make our homes more energy efficient!

I have used warm window shades in Denver and in San Antonio. They worked perfectly to regulate both cold and heat intrusion into my homes. I recently moved to northern Texas and find myself in need of more fabric. I brought some from my San Antonio house, but need more for my new home.

I have been a long time Alaskan this warm window product is the best for our winter weatherization needs for large and small window coverings I’m very satisfied with this product and it’s durability.

Better pricing here than retail or other online sites. Fabric will be used for insulated window treatments.

Great for making Window quilts/insulating against hot/cold temps.
Susan W on Jan 9, 2018
This stuff is amazing. Although it's meant to be used with shades, I've also hung it behind a curtain in one window (using clips, so no sewing!) and in front of an accordion shade on another. I could tell an almost immediate difference on really cold days!

I have some shades that I used this on and they are still doing well after many years.

I have used it before and it is wonderful to block out light, not to mention great insulation from both the heat and the cold.

Does it help with noise?
A shopper on May 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this fabric provides both sound and temperature insulation.
would this fabric be able to be used in a Roman shade or tacked to a roller?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: One side of the material is exposed cotton batting and the material is seamed at ~ 4" intervals. You would need to add decorative material to cover the batting. I can not see any reason why you could not use for a roman shade or on a roller. Try googling "warm shade curtain" and there are a couple u-tube videos that might be helpful.
Does this liner have blackout quality?
A shopper on Nov 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, it is not blackout. If you need the thick insulation that this Warm Window Fabric provides plus blackout, you can sew a blackout lining on one side of this fabric. Find blackout drapery linings here: www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-drapery-lining.aspx?characteristic=blackout
does it come with instructions as how to sew the warm window fabric?
