Great deal. I have a screened patio I designed myself. Every winter I "wrap" it in this plastic fabric! Keeps patio toasty warm with my electric fireplace on, California winters can be quite chilly. Everyone who visits LOVES my all season patio. I always get exactly what I need at your fabric store online. Thank you! I'll send a pic when it's finished this year.👍🏼🎄

A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would select the thickest gage available (mine is 40 gage). I use it as a table-top prtoector and to repair a plastic window in my ragtop. chevrolet. It works perfectly when positioined with clear packing tape. Saved me about $1000 over bu
Can I use it for a Desk Cover, the 6 Gauge?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2016

What tape can you use on this vynil?
A shopper on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used a clear tape that could withstand below zero temperatures. I just looked at the roll and it has no identifying brand name. I thought it was 3M but they plaster their name everywhere! Sorry couldn’t be more specific.
Does the vinyl come rolled or folded? Thanks
A shopper on Mar 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Mine came rolled (with a layer of thin protective paper rolled with it). I bought several yards at one time - don't know if that makes a difference.
Is this product suitable to protect a desk top from spills and marks?
A shopper on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, although thicker gauges, like 40 gauge are more commonly used for this purpose.
Can you print on the 6 gauge vinyl using an inkjet printer?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We don't think this would work because the surface is too slick and the ink would smear and not adhere.

A shopper on Jan 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 6 or 8 gauge would most likely work well. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure.

What gauge would work good that's flexible and durable for table cover for commercial use?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The 8, 10, or 12 gauge clear vinyls are all flexible yet durable. We recommend ordering samples to determine which gauge would work best for you.
We currently have clear vinyl panels around our patio which are fitted to a frame and held on the frame by a rubber spine which fits into a 1/8 in groove around the perimeter much like the screen is held in place. The panels are 40 in wide by 7 ft tall. Cannot measure the thickness of the vinyl. What thickness would you suggest we use to replace these originals. They were originally installed in 1991 and are beginning to crack and split. These vinyl panels fit over the screens and are held in place by clips . Also, where could we obtain new spine material?
A shopper on Feb 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We recommend ordering a samples to see which is closest to the existing clear vinyl. The 6 to 12 gauge range is a good starting point. 4 gauge is probably too thin and anything more than 12 might not work well with the spline. Sorry, we don't have any suggestions about where to find new spline.
Can I use this guage to sew and make winter frost covers?
Sheryl W on Nov 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what the frost covers are for. The vinyl wouldn't work well for covering plants because it's not breathable, but it would likely be fine for other applications. This 6 gauge is fairly thin, which might be what you're looking for, but if you want to compare other gauges, we suggest ordering samples.
Will this gauge of vinyl work to sew on a sewing machine for frost covers?
A shopper on Nov 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This 6 gauge clear vinyl sews up great on a regular sewing machine. The vinyl can be a little sticky, so putting a piece of tissue paper under it as you sew would make it slide through easier. You can just tear off the paper after.

Clear vinyl
The order was timely and the service personnel were very helpful. My issue is with the vinyl itself. There are folds, creases or lines in it as I am installing it that seem to be from the roll packaging. Maybe those lines, etc will clear out as it hangs, but I had hoped for a better initial look.
