I plan to use it under my tablecloth to protect a pecan veneer from splashes and spills. From the samples sent, I deem it flexible, yet waterproof for this purpose. A real table covering like this would cost twice as much, even with shipping.

The number 6 gauge plastic vinyl seems just right to make a small protective boxed covering for my plant seedlings for when they are being introduced to the outdoors prior to planting. It's a way for them to get acclimated to outdoors conditions while still young and not just ready to go in the ground.

I have ordered this before and use this vinyl to put around my back porch which is screened in. We staple the vinyl up and it keeps the porch warmer during the bad winter. It's a great vinyl
Martha G on Sep 30, 2016
I chose this vinyl a few years ago to cover our back porch windows for the winter. It was completely see through which is what we wanted and went up with very little sagging. Therefore I have ordered this vinyl since. Probably, I would guess, for about 5 years.

A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The best gauge will depend on the specifics of your project. If you can give us some more details we can help point you in the right direction.
What is the gauge that shower curtains are made of?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 6 or 8 gauge would probably be the most common for shower curtain liners.
Will this 6 gauge vinyl work to fit in puzzle or picture frames?
A shopper on Feb 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It should! We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Can I use it for a Desk Cover, the 6 Gauge?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2016

What gauge would work good that's flexible and durable for table cover for commercial use?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The 8, 10, or 12 gauge clear vinyls are all flexible yet durable. We recommend ordering samples to determine which gauge would work best for you.
We currently have clear vinyl panels around our patio which are fitted to a frame and held on the frame by a rubber spine which fits into a 1/8 in groove around the perimeter much like the screen is held in place. The panels are 40 in wide by 7 ft tall. Cannot measure the thickness of the vinyl. What thickness would you suggest we use to replace these originals. They were originally installed in 1991 and are beginning to crack and split. These vinyl panels fit over the screens and are held in place by clips . Also, where could we obtain new spine material?
A shopper on Feb 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We recommend ordering a samples to see which is closest to the existing clear vinyl. The 6 to 12 gauge range is a good starting point. 4 gauge is probably too thin and anything more than 12 might not work well with the spline. Sorry, we don't have any suggestions about where to find new spline.
Can I use this guage to sew and make winter frost covers?
Sheryl W on Nov 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what the frost covers are for. The vinyl wouldn't work well for covering plants because it's not breathable, but it would likely be fine for other applications. This 6 gauge is fairly thin, which might be what you're looking for, but if you want to compare other gauges, we suggest ordering samples.
Will this gauge of vinyl work to sew on a sewing machine for frost covers?
A shopper on Nov 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This 6 gauge clear vinyl sews up great on a regular sewing machine. The vinyl can be a little sticky, so putting a piece of tissue paper under it as you sew would make it slide through easier. You can just tear off the paper after.
