Needing to replace the original vinyl door covering on my dogs house that had cracked and broken after 5 years. This was the heaviest clear vinyl that I could purchase without buying 10 times what I needed.
TONY O on Dec 5, 2016
For feral cat houses (doors), and feeding stations. It needs to be sturdy to hold up against the weather. I was using vinyl runners, but I can no longer find the ones without the cleats.
ROSEMARY H on Nov 29, 2016
I chose this in order to make a custom desk top protector. After reading the customer questions/answers in the description, I decided it would be heavy enough to cover my desk and very cost effective.

We needed something to cover our new mission table when we didn't have family and guests over. Glass was considered but it's heavy and cumbersome to move/store. I searched the web but Online Fabric Store was the easiest to understand and I could order two samples so I could see what they looked like and how they laid on the table. I chose the heavier 60 gauge.

We have a cat who loves to climb our 60-foot maples trees. We found a piece of sturdy plastic and put it around one of the trees a little higher than where our little furry friend makes his initial jump, when he got to the smooth surface, it was too difficult for him and viola, he didn't try that tree again. Of course, what we put up was very unattractive. We're hoping that this heavy duty clear vinyl does the trick and looks a lot better.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, this product could be easily cut to fit any project.
I want to use this on my table. Is it slick? I will cut it to the shape of the table. Will it slide around?
A shopper on Nov 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It depends on what the table is made out of. It sticks to glass well, but it would most likely slide around on other surfaces. You can always order a sample to get a better idea if it would work for you.
What is the thickest gauge? And is it sturdy or floppy plastic sheets
A shopper on Nov 8, 2016

? In Va in the Winter time I make my back porch into a green house with heaters the 40 gauge and 60 gauge which one will keep the cold out and heat in
A shopper on Sep 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Either one would work. The 40 gauge has a lower cold crack temperature, but the temperature shouldn't be an issue for the way you're using it. The 60 would be a little better at insulating, just because it's thicker.
Will 60 ga clear vinyl work to insert over screen on porch for winter?
A shopper on Jun 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe it would, but also I think it depends on your geographic location. In the southern most areas, there is little to no possibility of freezing weather. In the northern climates, I am not sure if the cold would effect the pliability of this product. I do highly recommend this product .
Could be used as a protective covering for a overlarge watercolor painting? The painting is 14 feet long. I need something as clear and strong as plexiglas but easier storage.
A shopper on Jun 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe so. It's flexible, it won't rip, but it can be cut with strong scissors. I'm using it as a table cover so I won't damage my table while doing any projects. I'd say I'd recommend it.
If I order 3 yards will it come cut into 3 yards or will it be a roll?
A shopper on Sep 12, 2017

I want to use it as a table protector on a wood table. How do I get it to stick?
A shopper on Jul 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This product has no adhesive. We don't recommend having it stick to the table with an adhesive because it will ruin the wood. Placing it on top should be just fine.

can this vinyl stand -60F cold temperature ??
A shopper on Apr 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The cold crack rating is -10 degrees. This is determined with an impact test or by sharply folding the vinyl. The vinyl will become more brittle the colder it gets past -10 degrees, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will crack. If you're not handling it roughly, might be fine in colder temperatures, but in extremely cold temperatures, like -60F, it would be very brittle.

The 40 gauge clear vinyl's cold crack temperature is -30 degrees, so if a thinner gauge would still work for you, the 40 gauge is the best option for very cold temperatures.

Hi do you have it 60" by 60" inch?
A shopper on Mar 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This vinyl is only 48" wide, sorry.
Would this gauge be a good fit for a clear handbag or clutch?
A shopper on Mar 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The 60 gauge may be too thick and stiff. 16, 20, or 30 gauge would still be thick enough, but would have more flexibility. We recommend ordering samples to see which will work for your project.
Will this material hold up if I use it outside in the winter (cold 20 degrees) ? I plan on using it as a slide under roof snow.
A shopper on Feb 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this clear vinyl can withstand temperatures as low as -10 degrees. It should work well for your purposes.
Is this product 48 inches wide? Also what is the difference between gauges. I know thickness, but What is popular to cover a patio area?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this vinyl is 48 inches wide. All of our clear vinyls can withstand 0 degree temperatures, but some gauges can withstand even lower temperatures, like the 30 and 40 gauges. 40 or 60 gauge would be good for an overhead patio covering because they are thick, stiff, and durable. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
