I picked this item because of the low price. I have shopped walmart and amazon for reasonably priced canvas but the best prices I found were around $7.00 a yard. I use the duck cloth to build art canvases that are primed with gesso acrylic. So, I don't need refined or expensive material. I was thrilled to find this fabric for about half price. Thank you.

What is the best weight duck to make slipcovers out of, and is it bleachable? Thank you
A shopper on Oct 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: For light/medium weight slipcovers, this single full 10 oz will work well. The single fill 12 oz will be a little heavier. The #12 or the heavier #10 ducks are other options. These are woven with double horizontal threads, unlike the single fills. All are bleachable. We suggest ordering samples to see what weight will work for you best.

Would this make a good pastry cloth?
A shopper on Nov 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: it could, yes. drill ( with a twill weave) supposedly is best for pastry cloth but any dense, sturdy canvas or duck should do ok. A shopper on Jan 22, 2018

BEST ANSWER: Yes!
Weird question here. I do animal rescue and have a group of large happy dogs that sleep together on a mattress...(2 mattresses actually) with one or two "chewers" in the bunch I am constantly picking up used queen mattresses due to them tearing them up. I'm looking for a sturdy canvas type fabric that I can cover a mattress that they can't chew through without much effort, yet thin enough to be comfortable. Would this fabric work?
A shopper on Dec 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We'd suggest something heavier like the #8 cotton duck. The #10 is a bit lighter but may also work. We offer samples to order if you want to compare. Good luck!

I need to make a custom-sized ironing board cover. I am looking for a smooth, tight weave, med to heavy natural cotton duck. Is this material too stiff/ruff for this application or would the 7oz be better?
Anne W on Sep 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This weight would likely be best. The 7 oz weave is probably looser than you want. The 10 oz should be flexible enough.
Does the fabric have a fold?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It does not. We show the fold in the photo for image purposes.
