I need to reweb a wonderful antique sofa. I chose the "red" jute instead of the "black" as I think the extra strength will support more stress due to the heavy weight of family members.

This is the best price for Jute webbing. I am hosting a Christmas craft party for 100 kids. We are making a hanging banner and need 20 yards of webbing at a decent price. This is perfect. the craft stores sell this on small rolls at an exorbitant price.

Stronger than the black jute. I use for repair of old chairs but this time we are building 'cots' for camping in our mini-rv. The jute will be woven top and bottom with a foam insert between layers, as in a chair weave.

What is the difference between the red and the black jute webbing, other than color?
A shopper on May 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The red striped webbing is more heavy duty and is meant to be the base for springs. Black and blue jute webbing are generally used for the back and sides of a chair or sofa.

BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend using jute webbing for outdoor furniture.
I am looking for trim for drapes. I need it to be washable. Is this a machine washable product?
A shopper on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: IMHO, I think it is going to be very heavy. I dont know what weight your drapery fabric but this stuff is heavy duty Jute webbing used for support under chair frames. As to the washability of it, I have no idea as I only use it for my upholstery projects and so have never had the need to wash it.
Can you use this material to replace sling material for outdoor bar chairs?
A shopper on Feb 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We wouldn't recommend it if it will be exposed to weather. This webbing is made of jute, which disintegrates relatively quickly.
