I'm purchasing the 600 denier polyester to make a firepit cover. I couldn't find one anywhere that would fit the firepit correctly so since I sew anyway, I decided to make my own and I wanted it to last. This material will last for years!

What is the weight per ounce of this fabric?
A shopper on Apr 23, 2017
Is this material opaque? I am looking for fabric that you can't see through. Also, how much does it wrinkle?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is opaque. I took the fabric to a window to check if light came through, and it did not.

I use it for table covers for my art class, plastic side up, no paint comes through to other side. When I have an art event, I just flip them over and the fabric side looks great! Very wrinkle resistant.
I want to make a grill cover for outdoors. Would this fabric hold up to the sun and freezing temperatures?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I purchased this material to make a cover for my fire pit. It worked out perfect! It is a little stiff and I did break 2 size 14 sewing machine needles trying to hem through the seams but other than that, I would definitely use it to make a grill cover.
would this fabric work to make a windshield cover? to keep snow and ice off glass.
A shopper on Dec 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes I think so. It’s pretty tough stuff. I use it to make tote bags & messenger bags.
I need to seal off light from a window. Will this work?
A shopper on Apr 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This would block light. If you want something with more drape, we suggest blackout drapery lining: www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-drapery-lining.aspx?characteristic=blackout
I saw a beach mat made from pvc material, and the sand didn't stick. Would this work?
A shopper on Jun 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It would work for the bottom of the mat but I wouldn't want to lay on black material on the beach; it would get way to hot!
Could this material be glued together to make an inflatable?
A shopper on Feb 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You may want to consider rip stop fabric as it's more thin and flexible in a sense, and would allow air to fill whatever shape you constructed. www.onlinefabricstore.net/type-fabric.aspx?product_group=nylon&product=ripstop
Does anyone know the fire spread rating of this PVC-coated polyester fabric product? Or perhaps who the manufacturer is?
Shawn H on Dec 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Contact our customer service at either help@onlinefabricstore.net or 877-781-2967 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm EST.
Would this fabric be suitable for a tablecloth?
A shopper on Nov 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It won't drape as well as other fabrics if you're looking for a drape. It could be used as a topper for sure.
Can you see this with regular sewing machine? If yes, what size needle?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You would need a more heavy duty needle like one for denim or vinyl.
I need to repair the front flap of a collapsible dog crate. Would this work for that?
A shopper on Jul 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It could. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
What exactly does the 36 x 26 construction mean?
A shopper on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: That is the warp count x the weft count. Or the threads going one way, and the threads woven through going the other way per inch. This fabric is like the fabric you would find on a back pack.
I want to make a grill cover. I was going to purchase 3 yards which is 108 inches in length but your description shows 58/60 width and 36 X 26 construction. Which figure do I use to determine the width of the material? The 58/60 or the 36 X 26? Please help. Thank you!
Phyllis P on May 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The width of this material is 58"-60" depending on the roll.
Will this protect against sun damage?
A shopper on Feb 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This product doesn't have any sort of UV protective coating, so no.
What is the weight per square yard of this fabric?

I am the production supervisor for a sheepskin seat cover manufacturer. There are places on a seat cover that have low clearance and sheepskin cannot be used. In the past, we used vinyl in these areas. We switched to this product just recently. It looks so much better than vinyl! It sews easily and holds up extremely well.

This material is just what we were looking for to re-upholster our chairs. It seems to be a durable material and also water resistant and they look great easy to maneuver when covering the seat cushions. Very satisfied will be ordering more rolls.

I have purchased this for 3 items (20+yds) - Custom Lute Carry case, felt lined with zipper and adjustable strap, 2 wakeboard covers for 11ft x 36 inch boards and a Bbq cover. Yes, it is stiff but not impossible to manouver. Great quality for this price.
