I see vinyl-coated mesh with 9x12 and 9x9 configurations... what is the difference ?
Any tips on sewing this material? Will I be able to sew like regular material?
BEST ANSWER: You should be able to! You may want to switch out your needle to one that's more heavy duty to reduce the chance of the needle breaking.
Is this material see through? Looking to use it as a privacy screen... letting some light thru would be fine.
BEST ANSWER: It's less see through than say insect screen is, we recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
If I put this vinyl on a table. Can water drain through it.?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it’s similar to a screen. It has holes.
Can I use this to replace the material on a deer stand chair.?
BEST ANSWER: I would question if it would be strong enough. It was lighter weight than i had expected, but has done ok, for a grass catcher bag. I would be fearful of being up in a tree stand, with this light of material.
Would this material make a good grocery shopping bag?
BEST ANSWER: I bet it would depending on how you stitched it and attached the handles. It is super strong and flexible. I used it as the base for a car seat to keep the springs from poking through the foam and cotton stuffing. I bet you can use it for may things due to its strength.
Would it be suitable to cover a small building for about 6 mos.?
BEST ANSWER: It's features make it great for the outdoors but we really can't say yes or know without knowing more about your project. We recommend ordering a sample first to see if it will work for your needs.
Could this material be used for a roll up tonneau cover for a truck bed?
BEST ANSWER: This material has an open weave and won't act the same way those covers do.
Width is 57". Is the length 20 yards (60 feet)? Is a roll 57" by 60 feet?
BEST ANSWER: This item is sold by the linear yard, so you order would be 57" wide by however many yards you order. The maximum continuous length is 20 yards.
Would this work for sun covers for windows for our Rv mounting on the outside?
BEST ANSWER: We don't see why not, the small spaces between the mesh would allow for a very small amount of light to pass through. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Would this work very well for a cover for a small pool 5x8?
Will this work as a outdoor A/c cover & let air flow through it?
BEST ANSWER: It would work as an AC cover but if the AC gets hot, it may melt this fabric.
I'm looking for 2 peices... Each 16x16 foot long...so do I order 6 yards for each peice?
BEST ANSWER: We don't do special cuts, so you would need to order a continuous piece. 11 yards would be enough.
I want to use this material for my front porch that is enclosed with regular screen wire, will this work as a replacement?
BEST ANSWER: You could, but we don't recommend it. Please be aware that this product is only 57" wide. You may want to consider using insect or pet screen as it has a more open weave to allow air to pass through, you will also see through it better.
Is the mesh fabric strong enough for sling outdoor chairs?
BEST ANSWER: This fabric is not intended to hold a lot of weight, so no. You may want to consider something by Phifertex: www.onlinefabricstore.net/brand-phifertex.aspx Everything but the Standard Solids line should be applicable for your use.
