Why did you choose this?
Does it come in different colors?
BEST ANSWER: It also comes in red.
what is the difference between red and black jute?
BEST ANSWER: The red jute webbing is a little heavier and stronger. A 70 yard roll of the black weighs about 9 pounds, the red weighs about 11.
What kind of anchors would be used to secure webbing to an aluminum rocking chair to keep Jute Webbing tight?
BEST ANSWER: You'd need something with metal teeth.
Can I use this to reweave the seat on my wicker sofa? The original material has just fallen apart due to sun exposure. Need extra strong material that will not loosen or begin to sag. Thank you
BEST ANSWER: This webbing is most commonly used for that purpose, though we aren't sure how it would attach to a wicker piece of furniture. You may need to do some investigating on how exactly to do that.
does this webbing stretch after use?
BEST ANSWER: Not that I can see. This was used for a craft project rather than for upholstery. I think it might stretch a little over many years, but no more than any other product. It was very well made.
How many yards on a roll?
BEST ANSWER: Approximately 70 yards.
Would this be good to use on a sofa to replace the springs and to give it more bounce?
BEST ANSWER: This webbing is often used for upholstery, yes.
What if I don't need 70 yards , can I purchase less?
BEST ANSWER: The minimum order quantity for this product is 1 yard.
Can this product be used for outside patio chairs?
BEST ANSWER: We don't recommend it because jute will start to disintegrate over time. But you could use a water repellent product, like Rust-Oleum Never Wet, to make it hold up better to weather.
for sewing jute webbing?
BEST ANSWER: Use the same size needle as used for sewing cotton.
How do you secure on frame? With metal clasp or tacks?
BEST ANSWER: You can use either upholstery staples or tacks to secure this webbing. A webbing stretcher may be useful depending on how tight you need it to be on the frame.

I bought this to enforce the bottoms of some old wicker furniture. The wicker is a plastic material and it was disintegrating. This jute was perfect! It made this old patio furniture seem like new!
