Why did you choose this?
I plan to use this for my camper van windows, but wonder if it severely limits airflow? I'm afraid it may get too hot.
BEST ANSWER: It should be fine. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Does this netting fray easily if you don't bind the raw edges?
BEST ANSWER: Depends how much is out. But very little if any.
Would this product work for screening a whole deck?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this should be fine for a whole deck. I live on the 4th floor of our condo, facing east. I used several yards to cover the doorway to our balcony. I stitched a casing on the top, and have a tension rod, with fabric gathered at the top casing like curtains, and have weights on the bottom hem. It can get windy, and we often go in and out of the balcony to water plants, etc. It has been nearly a year and I haven't seen any tears, no fading, etc. Seems quite durable. I would purchase again. It keeps bugs out and lets in a nice breeze.
Can this be used for clothing? If not, do you have a recommendation?
How durable is this fabric? Does it have ripstop?
BEST ANSWER: There are no rip stops. However the material is very strong considering how thin it is..
We have a Porch we want to screen in using your product. Can the fabric be sewn together to make an 8' run? Special kind of sewing machine needed? Serger? Thanks for your help in advance. Bob
BEST ANSWER: You should not need a special sewing machine, but you may want to use a needle meant for fine fabric such as this. Since this material can be slippery, you will want to use interfacing or a paper backing where you plan on merging the seams. You may want to practice on some scraps first before committing to a larger stitch. Here's a quick video showing how to work with sheer fabric such as noseeum netting: www.onlinefabricstore.net/makersmill/how-to-sew-with-sheer-fabric/
can you us it for pool screens?
BEST ANSWER: This might not be durable enough for that use, you could try with a Phifer fabric instead. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Is this stretchy? I am looking for something that won't stretch out of shape as some mosquito netting tends to do. Thanks.
BEST ANSWER: This product doesn't have spandex so it isn't stretchy, however it will have some give along the bias.
How do you make this stick to metal garage roll up doors?
BEST ANSWER: Silicone sealant (black)
Will I be able to see out of this well?
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I bought it to keep midges out as a screen on a yacht. Sitting on yacht can see out very well. Harder though to see in which works well for us. Lets breeze through as well.
Has anyone sewn outdoor protective suits for kids with this fabric?
BEST ANSWER: I don't know if anyone have sewn protective suits for children. The fabric itself is very soft and very thin. It has no stiffness and is extremely flexible. It may be a problem getting a child into some kind of suit.
What would be best way to join the seams without sewing them?
BEST ANSWER: I really think sewing is your best bet. Glue would be a bad idea if you want the fabric to look seamless. The holes would make it difficult to get the fabric to stick to itself and I personally think that you would end up with a worse looking seam than if you were to sew them together.
I am considering using this as drapes in a very contemporary house. Is it lightweight enough to hang and drape nicely?
BEST ANSWER: HI, I used this to make bug proof curtains for my front porch. It is pretty light and should drape ok but it is 100% synthetic and may not look as nice for drapes indoors. If unsure, I suggest ordering a sample to be sure it's what you want. Best of luck on your project!
See through it?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can see through it.
Will this work for privacy, hanging from carport, outside?
BEST ANSWER: I don't know, I cut it up into small pieces to make a pouch in a seashell bag. Sorry - I wish I could help. I would guess that one layer would not give privacy. Two layers would probably give privacy and would definitely help with noseeums.
I'm trying to figure what best screening for me, the noseeum, or the mosquito netting ?.. I am doing a porch, it needs to last, live in N.C. seems the mosquito needing explains product, but since we have noseeums don't want them to get thru.
BEST ANSWER: Nothing has come through this screen, Not even at night with lights on. However, there are a couple of little things to add...the netting is so tight, that there is very little breeze that comes through. And also, it distorts your vision when looking out. You can still see through it, it just looks kind of fuzzy...takes some getting used to! But if bugs are your biggest concern, this netting is great!!
How would you use this noseeum material to keep the bugs out of the garage? I have a metal garage with roll up doors and there is a big gap at the top where the door rolls up which allows insects to come in. How do you make this material stick to the metal? What is the best way to cover that gap with this material? It has an octogan shape at the top.
BEST ANSWER: Understanding that the door will be moving on the lower end and that the above will be stationery, and of unknown material. Rubbing alcohol (to clean up the silicone sealant), latex gloves, silicone sealant (black), flat piece of board as needed covered with plastic wrap to press sealant into place.~Fashion the Noseeum to length understanding that of the width of the run will have to be adjusted to over lap a weighted end in a manner that it will be in contact with the door when closed.
will this allow water to penetrate?
Will this allow water to penetrate?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is a netting that won't stop water.
Has anyone used it as projection material? I am looking for Halloween decorations in my yard with a projector. Will this work for Holograms?
BEST ANSWER: We haven't had anyone ask about that use before so we aren't sure how to answer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciqA_pk70LI Around the 9:00 mark, this person tests mosquito netting. According to his findings, chiffon may be a better option as seen at the 12:00 mark.
Is the material fine enough to keep dust out?
BEST ANSWER: The netting is fine but may not be fine enough to act as a dust filter. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.

I'd be using this around my deck awning, would it be durable enough for 2 Labradors going in and out?

does this nylon netting shrink?
perfect for boat screen
I looked for this stuff everywhere. Soft enough to work with and perfect insect screen for windows in our boat canopy. Can see through it easily, but keeps even the tiniest of pollen and insects OUT.
