I went to JoAnne's for fabric yesterday and almost all their fabrics were labeled Machine wash COLD, GENTLE CYCLE, DRY ON GENTLE. USE COOL IRON. When I saw that, I left. It was even on their denims. I have been sewing for a number of years and when I make clothing I expect it to stand up to washing, and drying and wearing. I like a poly cotton blend because then I do not have to iron. Hobby Lobby was not much better. I am making a skirt.

would this material be okay for a victorian era suit?
A shopper on May 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I know nothing about Victorian era clothes but it is a heavy material that is good for jackets and sport coats. We use it in utility kilts.
