I have expensive feather bed pillows that I just love. However feathers keep poking thru and scratch my neck and shoulders. Store bought pillow protectors are not sold in this heavy ticking fabric. I'm sure this will work quite well.

I chose the bleached ticking fabric after much research, to make protective cases for the decorative down filled throw pillows i have on my leather sectional. I got sick of being pinched by feathers.

I have 8 pillows on my sofas that are 26 inch square each. How much fabric do I need to buy to make pillow covers? My feathers are poking through the fabric and going everywhere!!
A shopper on Feb 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You would need to cut 16 pieces that are 27 x 27 inches. With the width of this fabric being 42 inches, you would only be able to fit one piece in that width. You would need a total of 12 yards for 8 pillow covers, but you may want an extra yard to be safe.
Is this fabric durable enough for a beanbag chair insert?
A shopper on May 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think it would be fine for a bean bag insert. It is very durable and very good quality.
thread count of 104 x 76 = what? I'm not used to seeing it written out this way...
A shopper on Aug 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thread count refers to the number of horizontal and vertical threads per square inch.
Could I glue this on a wall and if so what type of glue would you suggest?
A shopper on May 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't see any reason why you couldn't glue it to a wall. Spray adhesive would likely work the best: www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-glue-and-adhesives.aspx?product=spray-adhesives
I am looking for a fabric that does not let the wool fiber poke through. Would this fabric work on a wool comforter?

BEST ANSWER: 2 yards
Would this fabric work for drapery in a garage artist studio?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This fabric is traditionally used for down pillows and mattresses because it has a tight weave that prevents feathers from poking through. There's no reason you couldn't use it for drapery, though it might be a little stiff. You can order a sample if you want to get a better sense of the fabric.
Looking to replace the fabric that encases feathers of a queen size down duvet. Is it wide enough?
A shopper on Oct 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Most queen sized duvets range anywhere from 80"-90" wide. To get that desired width, this fabric would have to be sewn together depending on the exact measurements you're trying to replicate.
Would this work for slip cover on chair?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Depending on how much use the chair gets, this fabric might be a bit too lightweight to act as a slip cover.

Renewing feather pillows.
I bought this ticking to recover feather pillows that had been in our family for years. Before recovering them I put them in my washer and gave them a good steam, then to the dryer just for a good fluff. Then the down feathers went into the new cases. The fabric ticking cases made them look and smell like brand new feather pillows. The ticking is really, really nice.
I bought white ticking and now that I have my pillows recovered I will put them in a protective cover and I am good for another 10 years.
