5 Memorial Day Party Recipe Ideas
Because I know I can’t be the only one still planning the details of the upcoming Memorial Weekend festivities with friends and family, I wanted to share some recipes I found on Pinterest last week. It’s always nice to try something a little different. So enjoy!
Fruit Punch (Or Sangria!) in Jars
This simple yet stylish drink was actually featured in a fourth of July party album from Catch My Party, but needless to say, works for this weekend too. The blue and white chevron fabric as a table runner underneath modernizes the whole setting but somehow keeps that whole celebrate USA and service men and women feel.
Cookie Cutter Fruit Salad
This fruit salad from Wit & Whistle looks so crisp, cool and delicious. She kept it simple but fun using only red and blue fruit, and cut the watermelon using star cookie cutters.
Potato Nests with Ginger Crab
Ok so there might just be something wrong with that fact that I’m sending you to Canadian House & Home’s website for a Memorial Day party recipe. But this starter looked and sounded too good to focus on that minor detail, and not share!
Grilled Chicken Kebabs with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce
A small twist on an American grilling classic, I’m looking forward to trying the roasted red pepper sauce from this Family Fresh Cooking recipe. And have to love the patriotic red cherries against the white and blue gingham napkin here.
Mini Flag Layer Cakes
If you want to incorporate a flag into your party menu, a subtle thanks to those who have served, these little red velvet cakes from EricasSweetTooth.com are a fun alternative to the traditional cream and berries cake.
