Fall Wedding Dress Trends

A-line gowns flatter every figure.

Many wedding dress styles will be popular this fall.  As always the A-line style continues to be extremely popular for excellent reasons.  Slimmer more body hugging styles are also in vogue. Greek style gowns with elegant high waists and sheath-like skirts continue to be popular, but they are best for slimmer figures.

A-line gowns are flattering for any figure and they can be done in  a variety of designs ranging from very full skirts to less full flares.  Full satin skirts are classic and elegant, but if you want an A-line gown you have numerous other choices for the skirt fabric. Ruffled skirts in both sheer and opaque fabrics continue to be a popular A-line style.  Tulle full skirts composed of several layers of dreamy tulle give a heavenly look to your gown.

Organza overskirts are popular.  They can also be layered like tulle can.  Beautiful appliqué and embroidered organza comes in numerous colors suitable for everyone in the bridal party.  These luscious materials make great yokes and sleeves in addition to overskirts.

Organza is also a fabric of choice for wedding veils. Embroidered organza makes luscious veils and trains.  Appliquéd organza is wonderfully chic for veils and trains as well.

Many bodice  and neckline styles can be used in A-line gowns.  Some feature long sleeves, but strapless and spaghetti strap gowns are extremely popular.  Off the shoulder and one shoulder strap dresses are another choice.

White continues to be the most popular bridal gown color, but cream and ivory are also extremely popular.  A decorative trim in a rich or bright color on a white dress continues to be somewhat popular.
