I plan on creating new window treatments and dining chair covers for our kitchen reno! This will be my first attempt at doing my own window treatments, so I’m a bit nervous!
I bought a pop-up camper last summer for $150.00. Score, right? Well like all pop-up, its the canvas that needs repair. I’m so nervous, I’ve never taken on such a big sewing project. I have the canvas but I really want to trick this camper out. So a win of $100 in fabric would make me the hottest camper at the beach. I’ve thought of using vynil on the outside or make new cushions on the inside. Stay tuned for the excitement
Awesome!!
I want to make myself a structured purse. It is one on a long list of projects. I think the outer fabric would look great in this print:
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-cotton-prints/use-quilting/type-fabric/amy-butler-acanthus-teal-fabric-.htm
and the inside could use something to spice it up. I think this would do the trick:
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-cotton-prints/use-quilting/type-fabric/alexander-henry-wranglers-brite-fabric-.htm
It would be ‘business on the outside and party on the inside.’ LOL
Ha! Love it Alison. A Party indeed! 🙂
The project list is growing….1 Desk Chair, 2 Footstools and new pillows for the sofa.
I’m starting 2015 off with a bang.
Good for you Shelly!!

2015 is going to be awesome! My daughter is getting married in January and I want to make her a quilt/coverlet for her bed from Waverly’s Siren Song in Graphite. She showed me an inspiration quilt from a very popular website and this fabric is even prettier. Thank you for always having the perfect fabric for my projects!
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/waverly-siren-song-graphite-fabric-.htm
All the best to your family–what a wonderful idea to make a coverlet for them!
I am planning on making skirts to sell. Simple Straight skirt with elastic waist.

I have done lots of projects with your fabrics
One of my favorite memories as a kid is having my mom bundle me up to the point only my eyes would show! Lol! The time she spent tucking and wrapping always made me feel special and she’d always ask me if I was warm…..like that was the single most important thing in the whole wide world. My eyes would light up EVERYTIME I got the chance to tell her yes!
Now, my mom is in dialysis and since her access is in her arm, she has to dress in layers so she can have her arm free. That, plus dialysis, keeps her cold despite her best efforts. I’d like to make her a special top to wear…..with a removable panel over her access….so she never has to take her arm out again. So the next time I ask, “How was dialysis momma?” HER eyes will be able to light up when she says, “Warm.”

So sweet 🙂
My plan for the new year is to work on a hexagon quilt my grandmother started in the 1940’s. For some reason, it was never finished and was packed away and given to my mother. My mother didn’t work on it, but gave it to me when I became interested in sewing back in my teens. I never met my grandmother and this incomplete quilt top is the only thing I have of hers. I want to work on it and make it my own, but yet keep the feeling she had when she started with it.
It’s mostly greens and pinks, so I found this fabric that I think will look good with it: https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-cotton-prints/design-floral/color-green/type-fabric/amy-butler-tumble-roses-tangerine-fabric-.htm
It’s going to be a big job!
That’s seriously amazing Kathy!! Would LOVE to see what the quilt looks like 🙂
Buying a new home. Will be making all the drapes, pillows, etc.
I would love to recover my dining room chairs after 25 years! I would love to pick out a brand new design!
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/springs-creative-disney-doc-mcstuffins-bandaid-toss-flannel-fabric-.htm
If I was chosen as a winner, I would like to make my daughter a few blankets and a dress.
I chose the Doc Mcstuffins prints because it’s my daughter’s favorite. 🙂
I bought a small sewing machine late this year with every intention on learning how to sew myself (YouTube + countless blogs!) However, I started with attempting to sew a gathered African printed skirt – which I accomplished but needed more polishing. So I’m starting 2015 off doing more simple sewing ideas until I get a hang for different techniques. Doesn’t get more basic than gorgeous throw cushions and eye catching window curtain panels of the simplest sort! Free fabric would definitely make learn more stress-free and the outcome would be fabulous!
This fabric would add a bit of jazz to my dark grey couch and burnt orange carpet – https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/use-decor/category-designer/brand-premier-prints/type-fabric/premier-prints-shiloh-jade-fabric-.htm
Awesome that you started sewing and that skirt sounds beautiful. Make sure you check out our Youtube channel every now and then, we’ve got a ton of video tutorials in the pipeline! 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCndGQlzTcnrFNIXGF119cKQ
I will finally finish my couch. I started this reupolstery project nearly 4 years ago when my husband and I got married. The couch has traveled across the country with us multiple times aandhad been torn apart for almost two years, but because of life and other circumstances it’s never been finished. Now we have nothing to sit on in our new house and the couch is a blaring, unfinished eyesore!!! I will finish it.. and it will be awesome. Maybe I shouldn’t have picked a couch for my first upholstery project!!! Oh well. But I do need some new fabric for pillows… Cute ones! 🙂

I’m 15 and I would love to make this, or a similar dress, for my portfolio. Which I have been building for collage. I would really appreciate the extra help as I am not working. Thanks!
Maggie do you have a website? Would love to see some of your stuff!
I’m going to be making an Aviatrix Medallion quilt and use Kona solids! Thanks for the giveaway!

Hope to make lots of pillows and will use one of these designs.
Your store is the BEST!
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/richloom-django-turquoise-fabric-.htm
Thanks Suzy 🙂 Love that Richloom print too!
After seeing this pattern and fabric of the Bear Paw blocks, I want to make a quilt for the master bedroom with batik fabric in similar colours!! I pinned it to my Pinterest board, here is the link: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/185914290843356093
I hope the link works!
Love it!!
I have so many projects in store for 2015! We are redoing our living room, and I will need to make new drapes as well as pillows for the new couch. I also want to finish up the guestroom (with duvets added to drapes & pillows), try my hand at box floor pillows, and more. I am fascinated by burlap in its many iterations and would love to spend a $100 gift card on more of it from OFS!
All great projects Jeanne! 🙂
This is the one, I have had my eyes on for MONTHS!! I have pretty much redone my master bedroom except for the curtains. I would LOVE to get it finished.
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/premier-prints-rosa-mandarin-dossett-fabric-.htm
We turned a burgundy dinning room into a an awesome cool, clean and calm bluish/gray master retreat, complete with new bedding and new pillows with pops of color of the bright turquoise and orange. I am the FARTHEST thing from a designer and I know I have really bad taste so I AGONIZED over every little detail to try to make it beautiful. I LOVE waking up in my room now but we really need curtains! 🙂
Sounds lovely!
I am involved in 6 mystery quilts at this time. I plan my sewing projects. Approx mid January I begin to sew quilts for the kids cancer ward at Loma Linda hospital. I donate approx 36 of them in May. Then I work on some quilts for me in June & July. In Aug I again make kids quilts to deliver in November. All Nov & Dec I make quilts for me. My husband buys all my fabric and supplies I donate the time and all quilts are given free. This past year I also made 155 pillowcases and made a visit to Shriners hospital with approx 28 quilts and Orange County hospital with about 15 quilts I love the kids smiles when they are given their very own quilt.
Love that you and your husband do this together 🙂 Awesome work guys!
The first thing I’m planning to make in 2015 is new curtains – they’ll have to be lined of course so they can be good hiding spots for kids (and parents) playing hide-and-seek :O)
I’m planning to use burlap:
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-burlap/type-fabric/natural-sultana-burlap-fabric-.htm
and Thermafoam
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/hanes-white-thermafoam-drapery-lining-fabric-.htm
I have some project s to finish from last year. But once thoe are done I will be working on our house. We bought a fixer upper this summer and moved in. It needs window treatments. I know which fabric I want. I just have to save up. But that being said. I skimed through some of the other comments and the lady making something for her mom on dialysis or the cancer quilt lady is pretty cool. So, I un enter and put a vote towards them.
Gosh you’re super sweet Rebecca!! I hope you have an awesome year putting some love into your home!
I am getting older, but my home style needs to stay fresh and young. It’s the only thing I can control during the aging process!!! I need to recover my dining room chairs to match my new canvas arr.
What fabric you thinking Carol? 🙂
I am getting older, but I want my home decor to stay fresh and young. It is the only thing It is one of the only things I can control during the aging process. I want to change my dining room chairs to match my new cancas art work.
I plan to make so cute clothes for my daughter who is 2 years and my son who is 3 months instead of buy clothes that they will just keep growing out of I think I could save a lot of money if I just make them clothes, and I also plan to redecorate my bathroom to make it look more romantic and cozy
I’m going to create memories with my kids in 2015! I’m going to do as much self sustainable sewing as I can, and am going to let my kids pick their own fabrics for their clothing. My 6-year old wants to learn to sew, so we will also be working on that. My kids (2 boys and a baby girl) love handmade clothing and always get so excited when something is for them! I can’t wait to bring them all the excitement they deserve!
there will of course be lots of quilts but I really want to start sewing some clothes for me.
Go for it Melissa!
I am going to make a Bear Paw Quilt in batik fabric: the paws will be dreamy blues, Aqua, purples, etc and the background a cream batik (which I still must find and purchase). I am very excited about this project for our master bedroom!!
Sounds pretty!
First of all I have to say I love online fabric store such a great selection of beautiful colors! I would have to say for 2015 my projects would be summer tote bags, beach bags made with oil cloth, and outdoor/indoor pillows to give each season some personality! Thanks for allowing me to share!
Aww thanks so much Brittany!! 🙂 We love having you as part of the OFS Community!
I need to make some cushions for a window bench. Was just shopping around your website.
After loosing my house (economic downturn) we’re getting back on our feet in our own apartment. It’s quite cramped and since we’re renting we can’t change much. So I’ve decided that some nice faux roman shades, a box valance and the back tab curtains you all posted the video for will help ease this transitional time! We have three living room windows and I know that this project will bring a smile to my family’s face every time they walk in the room! I may even make some coordinating throw pillows if I have enough fabric!
Here are my projects:

Sorry to about the loss of your home Teresa, but awesome that you guys are recovering slowly and making your new apartment your own as you do. These sounds like great projects and we’ll have lots more video tutorials coming in 2015 🙂
Looks like I posted the wrong video.. :/

I plan on making kids bathrobes to sell….and some new toss pillows for my sofa!
Building a new house-I have lots of sewing ideas. First off I’d like to upholster an ottoman and make some matching throw pillows out of this fabric: https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/swavelle-mill-creek-findlay-seaglass-fabric-.htm
If I get right into it-I’d find some accent colours to go with it-make roman blinds for the kitchen, and barstool seats (but that might be over estimating what all I can get done-HA!)
You can do it Jennifer 🙂 So exciting to start from scratch with a new home!
HI, I’m wanting to use these 2 fabrics:

a Red+a White fabric for new place mats for my entire family.
Thanks for sharing a great giveaway!
Thanks for being part of the OFS community Linda!
I’d like to make a scrapbook to remember my grandmother’s house. Due to failing health, she moved into a nursing home and sadly sold her home after living in it for almost 70 years.
I would like to make a handmade cover made in this fabric: https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/moda-snowflake-lattice-icy-aqua-fabric-.htm because it reminds me of the wallpaper that hung in her house for all of the 40 years that I visited her.
What a wonderful idea Rebecca!
I would use the fabric to teach my Great Neice Ally, who is 12, how to sew/quilt. She lost her Mimi (Grandmother) my sister, a little over a year ago. Her Mimi was the person who got me interested in sewing and I would love to pass her Mimi’s favorite skill onto her beloved granddaughter. Ally lives in Florida and will be coming to visit me (I live in New Hampshire) during her Spring Break from school. This fabric would be a wonderful start to her own personal ‘stash’! I can’t say what would be made from it, she would need to make that decision. Thank you for the opportunity to join in the fun!
That is awesome Melody! Ally is super lucky to have you 🙂
My grandmother taught my mom to sew, and my mom taught it to me.
In 2015, two great things will happen. My mom will retire from teaching after 33 years, and I’m getting married. So we are going to spend time sewing and creating all the pieces to my wedding … The napkins, the table cloths, the runners. As much as I can’t wait for my big day, I am so excited about creating it and making it ours with my mom.
Love that you guys are doing that together Andrea!! 🙂
For 2015, I plan on making handbags & accessories. Happy New Year!!
You too Crystal!
My husband has been asking me for three years to make a tree skirt with matching stockings. I have yet to begin, especially since we’ve had two more babies since he first asked. I want to be sure I have enough fabric for all the stockings, but the number needed keeps increasing! Maybe this way I can get a little extra…just in case 😉
https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/holidayseasonal-christmas/red-crushed-stretch-velvet-fabric-.htm
Awww 🙂
I am going to use as much of Richloom whipporwill as I ca to do slipcovers and also drapes. Last year I made drapes in my bedroom this year it will be livingroom and slipcover chairs. I love the look of Slipcovers and you can take them to Drycleaners . That Richloom whipporwill has the new color Marsala and I love it.
Love that you’re working in the Marsala 🙂
I’m a SAHM with 6 kids and one toddler grandson who we began raising ourselves a few months ago. Money is very tight and with my kids at home being young, I can only work 10hrs a week when my husband is home to be with our grandson at night so I can work. For Christmas last year and this one, I made dog beds and fleece blankets for all of our kids because I couldn’t afford to shop for more expensive gifts. Well, they were all a huge hit! My eldest daughter who I made the dog beds for encouraged me to make more to sell to bring in money; her dogs love them so much that they literally fight over them! Well, I put a feeler out on FB and I actually got an order to make FOUR dog beds in the next couple of weeks! I’m very excited for the opportunity, but I’m hoping that the money I spent on fabric won’t bounce a check before I get paid for them. I have faith that with my photo testimonials from people, I will actually be successful in this new cottage business so I can help support my family. Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. Best wishes to the winner. Happy New Year! 🙂
So happy to hear the beds are successful Paige! Have you ever thought of selling on Etsy.com too? 🙂
I could really use this. My house is in need to being refreshed with new curtains and throw pillows. Also I have 2 quilts I need to make for graduation gifts for granddaughters.
Awesome grad gifts Patricia!
Me & Noah’s wife began sewing right before the flood, so I’ve been sewing for many a years. Unfortunately my fabric stash shows it. Barkcloth, homespun, muslin well…. you get the picture. Made a few of those beautiful NCW by Emmaline patterns, problem is my ol’ fabric stash just doesn’t do the beautiful pattern justice. All those talented ladies over at NWC ADDICTS have fabric full of color & life. Such a waste of my years of sewing to use such outdated fabrics on my clutch wallet pattern.
Sounds like it’s time to update the fabric collection Alice! 🙂 What kinds of things are you making?
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/151855818661648362/
I will be working on my 8 yr old daughter room re-do in the spring. I used material from onlinegabricstore a few years ago to cover a day bed and will do the same this time.
I pinned the material i’d use above.
Kristen
What a great project to do together Kristen!

Awesome Lisa–how’d you find us? 🙂
Tap, Tap, Tap, is this thing on? Okay, see, my mind is all in a tizzy! What to do, what to do?? I REALLY want to WIN an opportunity to fund what I need most, a RETREAT. We sold our home and downsized to a “fixer upper” and are now smack-dab in the middle of a major WHOLE HOUSE DIY renovation. Drywall dust has crept into every little crevasse, floors are down to the concrete, and 2×4 studs have become a fashion statement of their own. I need to see a glimmer of hope. I need one room, just one, that says, come here doll, let me wrap my velvet, linen and large splash of pink arms around you. There, there, it’ll be fine. Oh, the thought of having a finished room that is beautiful, peaceful and calm…well, it brings a tear to my eye. You understand right? I need to see something beautiful in my little torn apart home. Oh my, whew, I felt a bit dizzy, I’m okay now. What I am trying to say is, that if I don’t win this, I think I am going to SCREAM MY HEAD CLEAN OFF!!!
Okay, bye
p.s. If you need me, I’ll be outside waiting by the mail box.
p.s.s. Happy New Year Okay

Oh Donna that is not easy at all! In about a month we’re doing a room make-over giveaway where we’ll select someone and have team come and make-over a room. Keep an eye out for the nomination period! And hang in there 🙂
I LOVE your fabrics, one and all.
Great for spring, nice for fall.
Handbags, pillows, drapes or clothes
Really, almost anything goes.
I’d love to win this bundle beauty.
To fulfill my dreams, it’s your duty.
Thank you for this chance to win.
But if I don’t, it’s a sin!
Love your poems Becky!!!
I am hoping to make gorgeous pleated curtains out of the Latika Festival fabric. I am in love with this fabric. There are so many rich, vibrant colors in this fabric. It really brightens and enhances a room. And the linen texture adds another dimension to the walls.
i think I’d make a shower curtain. I love to make curtains. I’d like to make some winter ones for my mom

God idea Alyson! 🙂
Oh, this is very easy for me. We are moving to a new home/city in 2 weeks and I will need to make new window coverings for all of the windows as part of us selling our current home, was to leave the window treatments/coverings. I hated to do that, but if it meant our home would sell, so be it.
I absolutely love the fabrics that were posted today: the portfolio fabrics. I can see these is several rooms of my future home. I also like the linen look, especially for the great room windows, just panels such as:https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-linen/color-natural/type-fabric/sand-irish-linen-fabric-.htm
I know this isn’t terribly creative, sad, funny or original. But it’s just as simple as winning this (and I NEVER WIN ANYTHING, just ask my co-workers!), would help brighten, warm and make our new home just that, a home. This is the fourth time I have moved in 30 years of marriage (and no, I am NOT that old, ha ha). Our first home had 33 windows in it. It was a 1922 craftsman style and I made curtains for every single window. I was up to the challenge then, and I am now.
Happy New Year to all and happy creating to whoever is the lucky recipient of this giveaway!
Thanks again for the opportunity,
Anne
