Why did you choose this?
Is this fabric appropriate for upholstery?
Just to make sure, this is a blue on white 100% cotton? Thank you!
BEST ANSWER: Correct. It's an off-white/ivory color if that makes a difference to you. If you want to see the colors in person, we suggest ordering a sample.
Can I use this fabric to make matching twin quilts? How much fabric would I need for 2 quilts?
BEST ANSWER: You could use just one width of this 54" wide fabric, in which case you would need about 6 yards. Twin quilts would typically be wider, so you would need 1.5 widths per quilt and a total of about 10 yards. This takes into account the extra needed to match up the patterns at the seams. These numbers are only for one side, so double if you want both sides made out of this fabric. We suggest taking a look at our tutorial about making duvet covers to see how to seam pieces together: www.onlinefabricstore.net/makersmill/how-to-make-a-duvet-comforter-cover/
Can I use this for dress ?
BEST ANSWER: Although I will make a dress out of about anything, in my opinion this is going to look like upholstery fabric no matter the style of dress. It is too heavy and thick- might make a nice tote though.
is dry cleaning possible for this fabric?
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely. It does help preserve the color, but of course you can wash in cold since it is cotton. Really pretty fabric-blue is vivid
can this fabric be lined with black out fabric for drapes?
Would the weight be suitable for a fitted jacket/coat? Thanks!
BEST ANSWER: It could be. This fabric is mostly used for decor purposes but many people use decor fabric for apparel. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Would this work for a table cover?
