Can I make an evening gown out of this and if I can is there anything specific I need to know?
Voquinia S on Nov 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought this in brown for a coverlet. It sews nicely, drapes well, and doesn't wrinkle easily. That said, it collects lint and dust like crazy, but doesn't that apply to all velvet? The back of it might not feel that nice on the skin over a period of time without a separate lining or slip...it doesn't feel satiny.
I would like to use this fabric for a Native American regalia men's beaded vest. Is it durable or is it stretchy?

How much fabric would be needed to cover a 72" sofa?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It depends on the style of sofa. Use this chart for reference: www.onlinefabricstore.net/upholstery-yardage-chart.aspx

This particular velvet is not an upholstery velvet. Though it may be fine for a sofa that gets light use, we recommend upholstery velvet: www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-velvet.aspx?application=upholstery
