Whether it is for a Halloween ghost or a theatre display, cheesecloth is a versatile fabric that is ideal for many different applications. Use it in the kitchen as a wrapping to infuse sauces and dressings onto meat, or use it as a strainer for sprouts and tofu. Bulk cheesecloth is also ideal for commercial applications as a cleaning cloth since cheese cloth is soft and absorbent. Grade 10 Cheesecloth is very thin with 20 x 12 threads per square inch. Use it for applications that require good air and water flow through the cloth, bulk applications, or a very light drape. Cheesecloth is also often used with wool batting to prevent bearding in quilts. Grade 10 Cheesecloth fabric is ideal for cooking, polishing, and filtering wines.

Is this all one long piece/bolt or is the box individual pieces?
A shopper on Oct 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The boxes usually contain multiple pieces, the yardage is not continuous.
How many separate pieces would you say are in a box?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is one piece that is about 300 ft. long, I cut it to get the size I want.
Why would a 100 yard bolt possibly not be continuous - 1 piece? Isn't that the definition of a bolt? Is it possible to request a single continuos piece? Planning to order a lot of cheesecloth to wrap my house for Halloween. But 100 yards in multiple pieces will not be helpful. Please advise. Thank you.
A shopper on Sep 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This item is not distributed on a bolt, it is in a box. Our vendor cannot guarantee one continuous piece.
Can I use this for cheesemaking (draining curd)?
A shopper on Jun 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, cheesecloth is often used for cheesemaking. We offer several different grades so be sure to be aware of that when making your purchase.
Which is the best grade cheesecloth to drape garage/barn walls for a wedding reception? We want to camoflauge a bit and create an "airy" lighter look.
Diana B on Apr 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 10 or 40 grade would probably work best since the weave is most open. You don't really need a tight weave for decorating.
Which grade best for covering berries or grapes to keep away birds?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Since this is a 100% cotton fabric, it will deteriorate quicker than a synthetic fabric. If you're looking for something that will last outdoors, we don't recommend using cheesecloth.
I would like to drape it to create an outdoor arbor look to camoflague an ugly drop ceiling...its 36 " wide?
Would doubling it still be sheer but hide more of the panels?
Patty M on Mar 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it's 36" wide. It will likely work for what you want, but just be aware that it's cotton that's not treated with a water repellent finish, so it will disintegrate over time if exposed to weather.
Cut cheesecloth with a scissors or a rotary cutter?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: A rotary cutter could work, but scissors would probably be the best
how to cut cheesecloth?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Scissors work well.
