Why did you choose this?
I'm looking for a material to drape over a canopy bed. Would this material work if not what's my best option?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this would be a great choice. It drapes nicely and is sheer. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
A little hard to work with
I have a love/hate relationship with this fabric. I purchased it to make curtains for 5 windows. I'm currently finishing window #2. I love the fact that this fabric lets in lots of light, but offers a fair amount of privacy - exactly what I was looking for. But there's a bit of give to the fabric, so despite careful cutting, my seams do not always line up. Tomorrow I'll try changing to a presser foot that allows me to use the even feed on my machine to see if that makes a difference. With low heat and some steam, wrinkles iron out, but it's not always easy getting a crease to stay in - aggravating when you're trying to use the crease to sew in the casing.
I'm really happy with the finished products, but there is some frustration in getting to that point.
