Why did you choose this?
Is this considered "interlining?"
BEST ANSWER: Here is our selection of interlining fabrics:
Is this a suitable fabric for a design wall?
BEST ANSWER: I am not an expert on "design walls." I just found a video on youtube that I think shows a design wall as a base for quilting a design. If so, I would say that I think it may work depending on the way you lay out the substrate. I used this material as a backing for curtains. I wanted moderate blackout ability and for it to add warmth to the curtains from outside weather. It has a felt/flannel feel. I feel that it is pretty useful for such purposes. Hope this helps.
Hello, I am working on making swags and drapes with Robert Allen Moira Woven Silk. Will this material help keep the swag shape? Does is fray?
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I believe it will help the silk to maintain the shape you desire. As for fraying, I haven't noticed it doing that. I'm using it for "backing" on a crazy quilt and it is very good quality.
Can this be used as a curtain liner, or is it an interlining and requires a liner behind it?
BEST ANSWER: This is an interlining and would require a liner.
if its 100% cotton why dry clean?
BEST ANSWER: Dry cleaning is recommended by the manufacturer. This is often because washing could remove a finish on it, change the texture, or cause the fabric to shrink.
Having never used this before I became a fan the minute I took it out of the packaging! Very soft! I used it for an interlining with the Eroica Cambridge Sky fabric to block sun. It is not a black out but softly filters the light.
