I currently have a very large window with drapes that were made with black outblack lining. The black outblack attracts the sun and as a result, the room is very hot when the drapes are closed. My plan is to put the ivory outblack on top of the black to see if this will reflect more of the sun away from the window. Not sure if it will work but worst case scenario is that my drapes will be very well insulated when it's all said and done.

I am making linen curtains and I thought I probably needed some blackout material to go behind it since linen is pretty light.

is this considered 3 pass? is it like the eclipse product#25042 that is a sound barrier?
A shopper on Oct 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would not consider this product as a sound barrier. I do believe it is the 3 pass process but I do not make drapes for a living so I'm not an expert. I highly recommend you get samples prior to your purchase. I ordered samples of three different products and was glad I did so because I had made incorrect assumptions about the weight and hand of the outblack fabrics based on simply reading the descriptions. I ended up ordering something different based on the samples. I will say also, that my samples came very quickly.
