Why did you choose this?
can this be used as white curtains?
BEST ANSWER: I suppose it could. It's much like the blackout curtains that are unlined and bought in the stores. It has a soft hand and it very flowy. It wouldn't need lining except to give it a finished look. It also depends on the type of finish you want at the top because it does not crease well so therefore making pleats or something like that would not turn out well. But overall I would say yes.
Can this be washed?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this can be washed, but it shrinks a lot, so pre wash the fabric BEFORE you sew.
Is there a front or back to this material or is it the same on both sides?
BEST ANSWER: There is a slight difference between the two sides. One is slightly smoother and has a little more shine. Good lighting is helpful when viewing which is which.
Can you see light through it at all?
BEST ANSWER: It is room darkening up to 95%, but is not blackout.
Best flexible blackout
I love this blackout because it drapes well. It is perfect for softer fabrics and flowy fabrics or if you are making valances with soft folds. Its also nice and thick so it adds some heft to very thin fabrics.

Perfect for Projector Screen
This fabric was perfect for my project! We needed a screen for our projector in our new house, but didn't want to spend a fortune. The fabric has a little stretch, so it worked out perfectly.
