Why did you choose this?
I need a lightweight lining material for my valences. Would this do?
BEST ANSWER: This fabric works very well for lining of valances. It's very easy to cut and irons well. Sewing it was easy and I did not have a problem with it. I would recommend this fabric.
I am looking for an inexpensive white material to make "drape like" curtains to cover outside tent poles for a bridal shower. Would this work?
BEST ANSWER: This fabric is medium weight, and rather stiff. For a softer "drape", I think a batiste, lawn, or voile is a better choice. While these fabrics may seem more expensive, bear in mind that they are available @ approx. 115" wide (double the width of the Linit lining), and you will need half the amount.
How thin is this?
BEST ANSWER: It is like other drapery liner I have used. It is pretty thin but provides nice body to the linen drapes I am making.
How large are your samples?
BEST ANSWER: 4 x 4 inches
Is it sheer? I mean will it allow a certain amount of light through?
BEST ANSWER: It's not totally sheer, but not totally opaque. It will let a good amount of light through. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Better Than Expected
Material was a good weight, soft, with a nice sheen. Exceeded my expectations.

Hanes white lint lining
I like this lining for valances and light weight drapes. It's easy to work with and it's light for heavier fabrics.
