can this be used for upholstery on a couch?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, we do not recommend using this lightweight apparel fabric for upholstery purposes.
Can this stretch taffeta be hand-washed in cold water and laid flat to dry rather than be dry cleaned? It is made of polyester and spandex which are both washable type fabrics?
Ina B on Oct 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes - use a gentle soap (Soak Sold on Amazon) that doesn't have to be rinsed out. Then lay flat - you can use a super low iron setting if you need to get any wrinkles out.

Beautiful fabric
This fabric is perfect for the Sugar Plum Fairy tutu bodice and basque and the Cavalier tunic that I am making for the Nutcracker ballet production. The stretch in the fabric is great to have the snug fit and yet allow the dancers to move. The side panels are being lined with heavy powernet fabric for the give and the front and back panels are lined with coutil.
