Why did you choose this?
What is the width of the fabric?
I want to make tea towels. Would this work or do you have any suggestions for something that will work?
BEST ANSWER: I used this fabric to make dishcloths. It shrinks quite a bit but that's the effect I want - a real cloth "waffle". I thought about dish towels but think it might be too thick. Love using the dishcloths though, I embroidered them and did a blanket stitch around the edge to prevent fraying.
Why it cannot be used for robes?
BEST ANSWER: I think it would be great for robes. It is dense enough. Just make sure you preshink it first. Order a sample first to see if it is wat you want. It won't be thick and cosy like a terry cloth robe.
Looking to make beach towels--is this truly heavy enough a weave?
BEST ANSWER: It's sturdy, I think it would work and the towels would take up less room for storage than terrycloth.
Does the picture depict what the item looks like after it is preshrunk?
BEST ANSWER: The fabric in the photo has not been preshrunk.
Hi there! What is the weight of this fabric?
BEST ANSWER: This is a medium weight multi-purpose fabric. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.

BEST ANSWER: The "waffle" is about 1/2" square. After washing, about 1/4" square.
