Why did you choose this?
Does the 55% linen 45% rayon in this fabric - Brissac Jewel fabric wrinkle easily?
BEST ANSWER: I have used it for pillows...and I don't lay on them much but when I have they were not wrinkled. It's a great fabric! It's not soft, so it wouldn't be a pillow I'd want to lounge on, it's more about how pretty it is. But it holds up well and I have even washed my pillow covers once or twice a year in cold gentle cycle, even though it says to dry clean, but I wouldn't do it often, as it would appear worn more quickly.
How wide is the pattern before it repeats?
BEST ANSWER: The horizontal repeat is 27 inches.
is this fabric suitable for upholstery?
BEST ANSWER: This fabric is suitable for lightweight upholstery applications. We do not recommend it for use on heavily used items.
Does it have more pink or red?
BEST ANSWER: Hmmmm, well the dark color is more of a coral, but there is lighter pink highlights, so I think having some light pink accents would bring out the lighter color...also depends on scale of fabric you're using it for--if smaller pillows you can target the specific design that has the lighter colors, or target the bigger "flower" for the brighter. But if you're using for curtains it is a perfect balance of both. I have it paired with a corral/ivory fabric, and some winter whites and a light tan. There is some bold greens in there, too, if you like green, it would look great together! It's a beautiful fabric, I love it. And I usually don't stay satisfied for long! I'm saving for curtains this spring!! I'll be in heaven then. Maybe you can buy a yard of it to see if you like it?? I hope this helps. Even though I called it coral, darker reds near it look just fine, too.
Could this be used for a shower curtain, if I also use a clear plastic liner between water and fabric?
BEST ANSWER: Sure can. It’s how I make all my shower curtains.
can jacobean La Chateaux linen/rayon Brisson Jewel be used for an occasional club chair?
BEST ANSWER: I think so. If you google the fabric you will see some examples of chairs upholstered with this beautifully fabric.
Would a buyer please comment if used for upholstery ?
Is the background of this fabric lighter than the picture? It appears to be yellowish and i need a light cream or offwhite color.
BEST ANSWER: We'd consider it a cream color. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
I will be using this beautiful fabric for lined curtains. Do you recommend pre-shrinking it? I see dry cleaning is recommended but others have washed it. How much does it shrink?
Could someone please tell me the scale of the design? For instance, how big is the flower in the second picture shown. I am looking for a fabric with rather large designs. Thanks!
BEST ANSWER: The large pink flowers are about 7.5" x 7.5".
Such beautiful colors! I used for lined, interlined drapery. It was easy to work with. This is not super tightly woven fabric--not an issue, but some people might want to know. I purchased the peacock color of this fabric for another project--that's how much I love this fabric.

Love the fabric. Love the colors in it. I had Drapes made out of it and they turned out beautiful. The picture is true to color except it is even prettier because of the texture of the fabric itself.
