Regular maintenance of your Phifertex fabric will ensure an extended life of the fabric. It is recommended to clean the fabric once or twice yearly for moderate use, or more for heavy-use applications.

White Phifertex Standard Solids Fabric is a durable vinyl coated polyester mesh with an open weave. It’s breathable, easy to clean, tear resistant, fade resistant, and mildew resistant with Microban to prevent stain- and odor-causing bacteria. It has a wide range of uses, including, market bags, tote bags, sunscreens, outdoor cushions, and elevated dog beds and cots. It can be sewn with a sewing machine.

Can it be cut out and used for a spiderman cosplsy for the eye piece and is it see through?
BEST ANSWER: Yes! You may also want to consider noseeum netting!
Can this fabric be use for a roll-up shade?
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can work for a roll-up shade.
You should create a ¼” hem on each side of the shade so the material looks finished off.
I am thinking of using it to make a replacement bag for my lawn mower. What can you tell me about the durability?
BEST ANSWER: I restrung my outdoor chairs and it definitely is durable. I think a lawnmower bag would need to be solid fabric. Dirt and small grass may come through the holes or get clogged up.
Will this work to make fly masks for my alpacas?
BEST ANSWER: I use it to make similar head covering for my dogs, very similar to fly masks for horses, so yes, it is easy to cut and work with. I've been using Phifertex for several years
Can i use this to make a canopy for shade?. If so, what is the UV protection?
BEST ANSWER: i don;t know the UV, I guess you could use it for a canopy - the material is quite stiff,so if you want to retract it it would be best to roll to store
Can I use this to make a chain bag for a motor?
BEST ANSWER: yes
this material is strong ..the stitching will be the weak spot if any.
i would even double up for xtra durability but you will know once you start your construction .
What is the length on the roll?
BEST ANSWER: The maximum length of a roll is 30 yards.
Can I use these for mosquito curtains for my outdoor gazebo in Hawaii? It looks similar to what I had before, but hard to say how thick the fabric is. The one I had was fairly thick, but I washed it a couple times and it softened up. I will need 160 yds, if they are wide enough. Please let me know or send me a sample.
BEST ANSWER: The holes are too large on this fabric. We have Noseeum Mosquito Netting and Insect Screen. We suggest ordering samples to see if it's what you're looking for.
Want to use this fabric to make a reclining bath chair. The frame will be made of pvc pipe. Do you recommend this product for that?
BEST ANSWER: Phifertex solids are not recommended for upholstery use.
Can I use this as a top for a guinea pig cage? I plan on putting grommets in the corners of the material and fastening it to the cage with a bungee cord.

BEST ANSWER: It may, we recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.

BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend this product for that use.

BEST ANSWER: We don't see why not.
Is this the fabric for deck chair?
BEST ANSWER: It could work for some deck chairs, but Phifertex Standard Mesh is not recommended for sling chairs. All the other Phifertex fabrics are slingable, just not the Phifertex Standard Solids.
Is it flammable? I live in an area where it gets over 100 degree in the summer. I intend to use it as a sunscreen for my patio. Thank you
BEST ANSWER: This product probably won't catch on fire if the outdoor temperature reaches that high.
Will this material work for chase lounge fabric replacement?
BEST ANSWER: Most of the Phifertex fabrics (Phifertex Plus, Jacquard Plus, and PVC Wicker Weaves) can be used to replace slings. But the Phifertex Standard Solids are not recommended for this use.
CAN THIS BE USED TO REPLACE FABRIC ON OUTDOOR SWING, THE ORIGINAL IS THE ACTUAL SEATING AND BACK OF THE SWING? HOW DOES IT HOLD UP IN THE WEATHER? IT IS ON A METAL FRAME, FRAME IS ISERTED INTO SEWN POCKETS, SORT OF LIKE A CURTAIN ROD POCKET.
BEST ANSWER: This may work, but we recommend any of the other Phifetex fabrics except for the Standard Solids. All others are designed to be used on sling furniture and the Standard Solids are not. This fabric is still very durable and all Phifertex fabrics hold up well outdoors.
Can the mesh be used to replacement screen on sunporch for privacy?

BEST ANSWER: This material would likely be too thick and stiff for roller shades.
