Why did you choose this?
can you wash it?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but there is some shrinkage. I used warm wash, cold rinse, line dry and damp press with steam on high heat. The up-down shrinkage was about 3/8" on a piece about 8" long. The sideways shrinkage was about 3/4" on a piece 27" wide. The colors were just fine. Good luck with your project!
Is the background of this fabric stark white or a little off white?
BEST ANSWER: This is an off-white. It's a near-ivory in the way I see it; however, it's not fully ivory as it is only a couple of steps away from a "clean white." While it is in No Way a pure white nor white-white, because it DOES have a lot of warmth to the white, it can be used in a room alongside a clean white AS CONTRAST. For instance, I'm going to have my walls painted the fabric's background color and my trim (the door & window casings, the baseboards...) Benjamin Moore's Super White OC-152, in case you'd like to look it up. I would not go with a strictly white-white, though, in picking the contrasting white, as that would be too stark. As said above, it's not a stark white. I also recommend getting a sample. You'll love it and it's best to see all the colors in person.
Could you use this to reupholster a sofa?
I want to make a purse with this fabric. What fabric do you recommend for the inside of the purse. How about a polyester blend broadcloth?
BEST ANSWER: That would work, a satin may be nice as well depending on how fancy you wanted to get!
Three questions please! How large is your sample, if it is small, say 4 x 2 ins, can I get a larger one, say 12x8ins? And the cost please?
BEST ANSWER: Samples are approximately 4" x 4" and only come in one size. They are $1.50 each.
