How many shirts will this dye?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The general rule of thumb is 1 box of powder dye will dye 1 lb of dry fabric, which is about 3 yards. The amount of dye should be doubled for dark, rich colors. If you can weigh the shirts, that would be ideal, but I'd guess for a saturated navy color, you could dye 2 or possibly 3 shirts per box depending on the size of the shirts.
if you apply the dye to a hat, will it wear off and make a mark on your head from sweat?
A shopper on Jul 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: As long as you rinse the hat well enough after dyeing and follow with a fixative, it shouldn't.
