Why did you choose this?
Will it work as a silhouette screen? I.e. How opaque is the weave?
BEST ANSWER: We recommend using scrim for that application, but you can order a sample of this fabric to see if it will work for you.
What is the thread count on this muslin, please?
BEST ANSWER: The thread count is 68 x 68, also referred to as a 68 square thread count.
Is this the same as baby muslin please?
BEST ANSWER: This is a standard muslin fabric. It is not intended for use in children's sleepwear. We do offer samples which may help you determine if it will work for your project.
Would this be suitable to make a covering for a bed, no backing?
BEST ANSWER: On its own, probably not. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Is this opaque and white enough to use to cover our garage walls for a wedding?
BEST ANSWER: Depending on the condition of the wall, if your wall is sheetrock and yellowed I think it may show through some but it is good enough to give it a clean look. If it is something else I just don't know. I bought this for backing for a quilt and because it is wide and I don't have to seam it together (which I hate to do). It is good quality.
Is this fabric thick enough to hide stretcher bars if you used it to to put around them?
BEST ANSWER: Stretcher bars like for canvas frames for paintings? My guess is probably not, but we suggest ordering a sample to see what you think.
Will this Be too thick for backing of a tie quilt ?
BEST ANSWER: I used this fabric for a quilt backing and it came out beautifully
Is this a permanent press fabric? It's very important whether it is or not, since permanent press fabric doesn't dye well.
BEST ANSWER: No, this is not a permanent press fabric.
Will this fabric work well for silhouette?
BEST ANSWER: You may have to use a stablizer with it,
How much this fabric shrinks after going thru the washing and drying machines?
BEST ANSWER: Not much. I use it as backing on quilting projects.

Great well weighted muslin
Love this fabric. I have stretched it over a large frame & have painted a floral design on it with acrylic paint. The paint adhered perfectly to this paint & it is water resistant. I will be quilting it into a lap quilt. I am very very satisfied with the results
