I am the Curator of the Whitman Stafford Farm House in Laurel Springs, NJ It is a very old
farm house community owned- We will make curtains out of the muslin. Back in history,
the farmers wives made their curtains out of feed bags. Since you don't have feed bags,
we will use unbleached muslin.

I am looking for a muslin appropriate for baby swaddles. I like the idea that it is chemical free, however I am concerned about the weight and texture of the fabric. Can you offer advice?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi! Although I've never made a baby swaddle or even had children, I can tell you that the fabric is nicely smooth (I have sensitive skin and could easily have it next to my skin and be comfortable) and I believe after washing it, the smoothness would even be better. I'd try washing a piece myself to give you even more input but I gave it to my friend for her to use to make pillows.

Is this unsized?
A shopper on Dec 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The material is de-sized during preparation, but then has a permanent press finish , which includes a number of chemicals, when it is processed.
I need 100% cotton unbleached, non-dyed natural muslin that is more heavy weight and sturdy than most muslins. It cannot be thin and flimsy. Is this muslin a good choice? Is it natural and free of chemicals?
A shopper on Sep 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this would be a good choice! Our unbleached muslin is all natural and chemical free. Our 48" Unbleached Muslin may work better for you if you are looking for something a little heavier.
