ELAINE R on Mar 8, 2017
I am making bedroom curtains and I needed blackout drapery.
Marion K on Feb 16, 2017
This blackout lining is of medium thickness. I add it to most of the drapes I build and several premade drapes for a local furniture store. It is a heavy duty material that is sure to block sunlight as well as protect drapery fabric.

which side of fabric faces out?
Carole W on Nov 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Most say the fabric side out. However, the ecru was too dark for my curtains so I used the white, vinyl side out. They still worked fine for both light blocking and insulation.
How wide is it?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 54 inches
is it flexible or stiff ?
A shopper on Oct 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is flexible, easy to sew and hem. It is a bit heavy which does give it some stiffness so it hangs straight down and of course do not iron. Hope this helps.
will this fabric completely block out the light to make the room dark as I get migrains and need the room dark?
A shopper on Jul 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will.
I am going to use this to back some curtains made out of your linen polyester chocolate brown drapery fabric. Since the brown is washable and the insulated is dry clean, what is best way to make the drapes so that the brown can be removed for washing?
Mary H on Jun 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You could use Velcro or hooks at the top. Velcro is stiff so it may or may not work depending on the type of curtain heading.
will this work to line bamboo shades?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I doubt it. While the fabric is pliable it has some weight to it. If you never plan to roll the shades up then, yes it will work. Otherwise your shades will be very heavy and your roll will be quite large. I used it on Roman shades and it is working but it is bulky and the pleating has to be adjusted every morning. Good luck.
i need 500 yards, is this fabric fire rated?
