Would this be appropriate to use between foam cushions and face fabric to make it water resistant? Making banquette cushions and would like to protect the cushion from spills (3 kids!)
A shopper on May 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It could. You'd be better off choosing a water resistant fabric for the cushion, that way you wouldn't need another layer underneath.
Is this appropriate to use with silk shantung?
LINDA P on May 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Linda, can you tell me more about your application? What are you making (draperies, roman shades, etc) with this delicate wonderful fabric? Can you attach a picture of the fabric you want to use or describe it as compared to weight/thickness? I understand your desire to use a waterproof lining to avoid water damaging your silk.
This is a heavy duty, thick, tightly woven, stiff lining. It's wonderful to work with & irons like a good dream! I use this with heavier drapery fabrics or with darker fabrics that may have a tendenacy to fade in the summer sun. I, personally, would not use this on a delicate fabric like silk shantung. I need to review my orders for a lighter weight waterproof lining.
How much light does this block?
Debbie A on May 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It is a lovely drapery lining that I am completely happy with but it does not block light; I did not buy it for that purpose.
How much does "Roclon Rain No Stain White Drapery Lining Fabric" shrink when pre-washed?
A shopper on Jun 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Since this lining is listed as washable it should not shrink a significant amount, but we still recommend pre-washing.
Can this be used as a drapery fabric in addition to the lining?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2017

lining that would work, but not this.
How do you tell which is the right side of Roc-Lon No stain lining?
A shopper on Sep 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I've used this lining before and when I spray it to iron it out, both sides make the water droplets bead up, so I agree with another responder that the fabric is water repellent on both sides.
Does this fabric let in a lot of light?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Compared to many other drapery linings, this let's in a fair amount of light. If that's what you're looking for, this is a good choice. Roclon Supra-lon Drapery Lining is another option. It pairs well with lightweight face fabrics for a light and airy look. You can order samples if you want to see any in person to compare.

I'm looking for fabric to make a covering for our tower infrastructure at a festival here in the pacific nonrthwest. needs to be durable and rain resistant. will this be enough on its own?
A shopper on Jun 21, 2017

Nice lining for light fabric
I used this fabric to line a light damask fabric. It was easy to handle and lightweight. It hung well with the face fabric. It was water resistant because when I misted it to iron out wrinkles, the water beaded up. I have yet to see how this lining holds up under the intense UV in New Mexico. Fabrics and linings are susceptible to fading and dry rot because of the New Mexico sunshine......
