I'm making drapes that won't need an expensive lining, so this is perfect for this application.

The new valances will be 100% cotton and will need something to protect them from sun damage. This poly/cotton blend will do that and provide a good stable backing.

Making lining for inexpensive ready-made velvet curtains for home in Montana. Needed some insulating character in the lining but did not want to spend more on the lining than I did on the curtains!

Does this have the noise reduction quality, and what other linings do you recommend for noise reduction?

BEST ANSWER: For the best sound absorption, we suggest Bump Drapery Interlining, which is meant to go between the drapery fabric and drapery lining. If this is too thick and you just want a lining, Hanes Heavy Flannel Drapery Lining may be your best option. This Roclon Specialsuede Drapery Lining would also provide some sound insulation. You can always order samples to compare.

Is parchment the same as off-white or ivory?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would say it is more of an ivory as it has a somewhat yellowish cast. It is a nice neutral and I used it with teal and wine colored drapes ( lined ready-made drapes) and I am satisfied with the result.
What is the weight, in ounces, per yard?

Just what I needed!
This lining is heavy enough to offer draft protection around a winter, but light enough to provide nice drape to the fashion fabric. This stuff worked great for my project!
