If you're wanting a super-shiny (chrome) look on the object you're painting, you won't achieve that with this product. Instead, you get a soft metallic "satiny" glow. The color is absolutely stunning, however--and it coats the objects very well even on one pass...(not a lot of show-through). So, it doesn't require using a lot of paint. I recently bought several cans to repaint lots of varying objects for a wedding. The wedding theme colors were copper and turquoise-a lovely combo. I sprayed literally every kind of surface from (stiffened) doilies shaped into bowls, cardboard, rattan, wood, papier mache', glass and metal. I even spray-painted silk flowers! Absolutely STUNNING results! Actually, ALL the items I painted turned-out unexpectedly gorgeous! I even combined the two colors together (in random streaks and splotches) to mimic verdigris. It was interesting to see how each surface took the paints. I even successfully stenciled some items with the copper. Attached, I've posted a picture of one of the centerpieces I created for the wedding.
