WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST HEAT RESISTENT MATERIAL TO BE USED TO LINE THE INNER LEG(S) OF MOTORCYCLE RAIN SUITS. MORE SPECIFICALLY THE HARLEY DAVIDSON STYLE MOTORCYCLES WHICH HAVE EXPOSED EXHAUST PIPES OF WHICH THE PANT LEG COMES INTO FULL CONTACT, THUS MELTING THE NYLON RAIN SUIT. THIS MATERIAL WILL BE SEWN AS AN OVERLAY TO KEEP THE PANT LEG FROM MELTING.

BEST ANSWER: This or our other Therma-flec product could work. Please keep in mind that these products are only heat resistant and are scorch-proof to 360 degrees. We cannot say how they will perform with prolonged exposure to a heat source. We recommend ordering samples to be sure that it will work for your project.

do you have instructions to make thermal window shades for winter?
A shopper on Dec 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you're picturing a shade, like a roman shade, we do have a tutorial for that:
www.onlinefabricstore.net/makersmill/how-to-make-a-roman-shade/
To make it thermal, you could use an insulating drapery lining and also possibly add an interlining that would go between the decor fabric and the drapery lining for the best insulation. Find insulating drapery lining and interlining here:

Can this be used to keep heat in such as an interior to a canvas ice fishing shack?
A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It would probably keep the heat in, but this fabric is quite bulky and thick with padding between two layers. If your canvas shack is portable it might be more than you want to carry around. If you set it up seasonally it might be worth it but the fabric takes a bit to tame even on a small project. I made an ironing board cover for example.
