Love hydrangeas and don't yet have any growing at my new home. Updating my 1980s Ikea kitchen set with this lovely and practical oilcloth fabric seems like a great way to brighten my kitchen and to bring a favorite flower indoors.

I'm using this fabric to cover chair cushions for an antique iron set. The hydrangeas will add to the vintage look I'm trying to achieve. I ordered enough fabric for a tablecloth as well. Can't wait to begin this project!

Susan H on Mar 28, 2017
A really pretty print, unusual for oil cloth.
Jo P on Mar 25, 2017
Great selection, beautiful hydrangeas. It was very easy to place order unlike some other sites. The only other good oilcloth I have seen is in England and it was 25.00 a yard plus a lot of shipping costs.

So glad I found your site.
Thank you!
LINDA F on Mar 24, 2017
love this color & hydrangeas- this is what caught my eye to look further on your e-mail

I have a 41" round table I want to make an oilcloth table cloth with at least an 6/8" drop. How much material do I need when the repeat pattern is 26" and the width is 55"? Thanks
A shopper on Oct 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Here is the math: The fabric is 55 in. wide. If you buy (at the very least) a 55in piece, you can cut a 55 in circle from your fabric. That would give you a 7in drop, all the way around. You would not have to match the pattern repeat. On-Line Fabric will sell only full yards. So, you will need to purchase 2 yards. I cut my oilcloth with pinking shears and did not hem. The result was very cute.
Can this fabric be washed and dried in machines regularly? I'm thinking of making grocery bags with it.
A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not really. Oilcloth is thick and smooth and plastic and simply needs wiping off on occasion. I think grocery bags are a great idea for it though! They will last almost forever and look pretty all the while! Use a teflon foot to sew it or put a piece of tape underneath your machine foot. Craftsy has an oilcloth tutuorial that may help you.
I have a bathroom window old school in the bathroom , they put in a shower ( rental for me ) want to make a curtain on cafe hooks on road to water proof somewhat the window area but can pull back to make sure all dries and will look good like big bouquet of flowers . Thoughts please one panel like a window blind?
A shopper on Mar 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think if you look up how to sew on oilcloth, this is a very doable project and a great idea. Oilcloth is heavy so you want to make sure your cafe rod and hooks are strong. Hope this helps!
When are you getting new stock?
A shopper on Oct 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately this item has been discontinued and will no longer be restocked.
When will you have this fabric ( Violet Hydrangea oilcloth fabric ) in stock again?
Also do you carry this fabric in any other types of fabric, like rayon or cotton? Thanks!
Karin-Mary S on Oct 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately this item has been discontinued and will no longer be restocked.
Can this fabric be used to make in the hoop bags with an embroidery machine?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It may, the oilcloth might be rough on your needles and machine, however. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Is this an exterior fabric ?
A shopper on Mar 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Oilcloth is a general purpose fabric that can be used outdoors. We don't recommend it for upholstery but it makes lovely tablecloths and can be used in many crafts!
My table is 72x56 (including hang down.) what size should I order? Your selections are beautiful.
A shopper on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: See this article to figure out how much yardage you need: www.onlinefabricstore.net/makersmill/measuring-yardage-for-a-tablecloth/
Is this waterproof and is it suitable for outdoor seat cushions?
A shopper on Jun 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is waterproof. It would be nice outside, although it might leak through the stitching holes the needle would make. Also, because it is oilcloth and waterproof, bare skin would probably stick to it, if it were made into cushions to sit on and people in shorts or bathing suits were sitting on it. It is beautiful. I am using it for a tablecloth. Enjoy!
Can this fabric be sewn on regular sewing machines?
A shopper on May 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes! See this article for tips on sewing with it: www.onlinefabricstore.net/makersmill/oilcloth-fabric/
What is minimum yardage allowed?
A shopper on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This minimum order quantity for this product is 1 yard.
What kind of backing does this have? Will I be able to sew two pieces together for reversible place mats?
Or use a binding on the edge to sew through?
Joan H on Mar 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This particular oilcloth has a soft backing to it, you should be able to sew two pieces together no problem. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
can this be used as window cover?
A shopper on Jan 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We would not recommend oilcloth for this purpose.

Wide enough! Like the pattern
Wish more 55" oilcloth prints were available overall, as the width of most existing prints don't work well for tablecloth purposes. This is an appealing print compared to the more typical dots, gingham check, and outdated florals or fruits. Bring oilcloth out of the 1970s, please.

I adore hydrangeas with their mop of blues and pinks but they don't love me back! So, when I saw your print I knew I wanted some, now I don't need to be depressed by my failure, I can look at my hydrangeas and rejoice. Your oilcloths are so soft and easy to clean, Thank you for a product that is economical and beautiful
