Visit Designer Showcase Houses for Inspiration & Fun
Designer Showcase Houses are homes that have been decorated by local designers with supplies and labor often donated by local businesses and craftspeople. Spring is a popular time for Designer Showcase Houses to open their doors to the public. There is usually a fee charged for the tour with the proceeds benefitting a local charity of some sort. The homes are often sponsored by the local historical society, symphony or a chapter of ASID (American Societyof Interior Designers). These homes are a great source of inspiration for your interior design and/or landscaping projects. They often feature the latest in technology and paint, furniture and accesssory trends. Regardless of whether you are in the process of redecorating your home, building a brand new home or just like to look at beautiful spaces, you will enjoy visiting these houses. Check with your local historical society or ASID chapter to see if your area offers a designer showcase house tour.
