BEST ANSWER: This cane webbing has a finish on it and will not absorb stain. You might be able to use a spray paint with a protective clear coat sealant to change the color.

If the caning on my chairs measure 13 wide by 22 high, how many fret do I need per chair? I have 6 chairs. Thank you

BEST ANSWER: If you use the width of the cane webbing (24 inches) for the 22 inch dimension, you would need 7 feet for 6 chairs, but you may want to add another foot to be safe.
